See the difference in class! Henry has played in MAJOR finals, it’s not as if he hasn’t! Why hasn’t he ever stepped up in them. Yes there’s more than football than scoring but when the primary aim of said player is too score and it is what he is mainly known for (scoring goals) why should I (as fan) not expecting him to have scored in a final of major tournament?
Ps, yes he assisted in the UCL final, yes but it was a dead ball situation. I remember first getting into watching soccer and it was the South Africa World Cup. I was on a cruise and they played the final match live in the theatre. I remember soccer being so creative back then. The quality today is great but just different play style.

Thierry Henry actually played very well in 2006 to me. Just down to 10 men screwed arsenal over I think they would have won that if not. But Thierry does disappear in a big match no doubt about it. His playing style didn’t help either. Drogba used his physicality to dominate the big match ups, still remember vidic drogba wars.
Ask the French and they'd take David Trezegeut over Thierry Henry anyday of the week. It's only in this country we rate him so highly.
