TempoTec Sonata HD V review: A sweet-voiced smartphone DAC

► The #TempoTec #Sonata HD V USB DAC uses a dual dedicated chip from ESS: ES9219C. The device supports music playback up to 384 kHz/32 bit, native DSD256, DXD and MQA. The device is powered from a source, but moderately at 5 volts 0.112 amperes.
In sum, the TempoTec Sonata HD V mobile DAC is great with its interchangeable cable, which means support for both Android and iOS devices, a dual chip from ESS, increased power to 95 mW (calculated at 32 ohms of load), as well as support for both PCM, so DSD, DXD and MQA formats. In terms of sound, the five has a noticeably better separation of timbres, while retaining that very simply fantastic musical component, juiciness, massiveness and depth of immersion in the material. Yes, the five is different from the third version, but both of them, in my opinion, are amazing.
