- Door glass and vent widow install. In this video, I install the door glass and vent window in the 68 Mustang. I also adjust the quarter glass. I made a longer video that I posted on Patreon. More details in that video.

Thank you for this video. This is definitely the best video on how to do this job on 67 and 68 mustangs. You couldn’t have explained every step any better.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Forget my last comment, I watched the video again and saw you took it off
You're awesome. A big help. I found you on accident by your 2008 Suburban heater hose video when my tee failed a few years back. Then, I was shocked that you were going to be even more helpful on my 67'.
This is the kind of info that helps everyone working on these types of projects. Knowledge is power. Thanks Barry
Such great videos!! Doing window glass on my 65 coupe and this has really helped me! Thank you!!
Very informative and information provided was on point. Made my installation a breeze.
I have been fighting the window replacement on my 67. I haven't been able to find a comprehensive video until now. Thank you!
By far the best video I have seen for the window install. I think am finally ready to reassemble my 68 Cougar. Thanks for providing all this detail and providing some insight into where the challenges are going to be.
Alota work to do but you're video gives alot of good information about it thumbs up 👍..
Thank you so much!!! Very helpful ❤
Always, one of my favorite channels
Had to save this one for sure and will watch a couple more times. This was one of the most difficult things to do and I struggled just to get all the glass and regulator out of the door. I never think twice of the money I send every month as a Patreon. The information you provide is spot on, time saver and priceless. I encourage others to go look at being a Patreon supporter for this channel so that it will be here in the future. You can't tell me from all the quality videos that Barry has put out has not saved you time and money. Can't thank you enough Barry for giving the information and confidence to do my mustang build.
Thanks Harry. I appreciate your support and endorsement.
My block split in half... New one just arrived.
Very very nice!!
Thank you for creating this CZcams video! It was super helpful and made the installation process straightforward. I was so frustrated when I took the door glass off and was worried about the installation after painting my car. Couldn’t have done it without your help!
Great video Barry, would never had thought about removing the rubber block to lower the window enough to install the sill seals. Thank you as always
Very informative video
Very Nice exactly what I need
I've caught a couple of your videos before but I'm taking a special interest in these window adjustment videos. I have a "63" Falcon Futura Convertible and I will be taking the front fenders off for some bodywork on them and to paint the inside sheetmetal. The windows are WAY out of adjustment. I know that there will be differences but you explained everything so well that I will feel comfortable tackling this project. Thank you so much for this video. I will go through and check out many more. I know that I'm a little late to this party but God bless and have a wonderful day. 👍👍🙂
Glad you’re taking your time showing your talent!! I wish you had more subscribers you really put a lot of work into your videos and your work shows it !!! I’ve shared your channel with others but not many people I know who work on cars or even mustangs 🤔 your videos will become legendary in time!!!!!
I was just about ready to mount the fenders on my ‘66, now I think I’ll wait until I try to get the glass in. Not looking forward to this project but I am at the same time.
I’m glad that k watched this (prob will a few more times as well), cause I thought I was going to start with the vent window. 🤦♂️
Thanks for sharing Barry. Won't be long and I'll be doing my door glass too...............I hope ;)
Very informative especially for a classic Mustang owner. As always, there are tips that could be applied to almost any restoration or repair project.
I'm about to tackle this project on my 67 coupe (all the side glass). This was super-helpful to me to understand how the pieces go together and work together. Thank you!
Detailed information was right in time thx👌
Thank you for the informative video very helpful.
great video, really showed the stop block locations & what to do.. thanks
Very helpful and much appreciated, thanks !
hi barry jade is looking very good
Oh man the door glass and vents are tricky one of the most time consuming 😡 great job bro
It’s incredible how you are nearly at the same steps I am with my 68 - and how you continue to be a lifesaver in resolving the issues I encounter - I am literally at the vent window frame stage too and was wondering how it adjusts in & out - THANK YOU!!!
I’m trying to find all the hardware on NPD. I have nothing thanks to the previous owner. Wish I could ask someone that’s done it to pick out everything I need
Question. When putting the glass back in the door, does the L shaped stop that is bolted on by the roller need to come off ? If it does , is it a pain to put back on when the glass is in the door ?
excellent video - thank you so much. One thing i may have missed is how did you re-insert the stop on the glass side? I had to remove it to get the glass in and then re-inserting it is a nightmare as it keeps dropping off. Need 5 inch fingers to grab it from behind while i'm screwing through an access hole :D any tips?
I don’t remember at the moment, but I know it was a struggle.
Terrific explanation of how to orient the glass during assembly of the glass. Are there py? arts you'd advised be swapped out during such a disassembly? Vapor barriers seem a no brainer... I did purchase a set of the Window lower bumper.. Wonder what the tracks and rollers will be like.... the fuzzies and wipers get screwed in? Just bought a full set of repops for front/back and didnt see any screws in the kit... thinking about the front quarter window seal... Can't imagine its not degraded over the decades. might mention cleaning out the junk inside the door and ensuring the drains are not painted over or choked up.
If you have bad rollers, you should replace them. The fuzzies do not stay in place with the clips they have on them. The screws remedy that. Definitely clean out the junk. This car had a lot of sheet metal replaced so nothing inside.
It looks like it would be easier to put the vent window in first then the window. Or am I missing something? Thanks, Collis
I have done it both ways.
I have my quarter window adjustment pushed all the way to the outer side of the car. And I'm still having trouble getting the top of the window inside the roof rail seal, any other tips??
When I went thru that process. I decided to write down the steps. The last written step said, " Stop cussing".
Hi, thank you for the video.
Also, where did you find that interior door paneling
Probably purchased from mustangs unlimited before they went out of business.
Any issues with installing the door window before the vent ?
Any tips for getting the L shaped stop that goes on the rear window side back in place? I removed it to drop the glass back down so it wouldn’t get stuck on the rear guide track, but I can’t figure out how to get access to replace the bolt with the window installed.
Patience... No easy way to do it.
how do i put back in the upper window stop? very hard to put back in???
Hi. My window is sliding around 3/4 of an inch. I need to push it forward and tighten it. Where are rhe tightening screws or nuts?
The main glass? 3 screws at the bottom of the track on the window. But it may be something else.
Very informative video, thank you so much. I am stuck on my car, the window stops about half inch before reaching the top. i am completely lost here. Any help would be appreciated.. Thanks
It may be getting hung up on the window fuzzies and rubber weatherstripping.
@@JoDaddysGarage I watched your detailed video on youtube last night and I came looking on your channel to ask this question and noticed that someone had the same exact problem as me, then I read who it was from (this guy). So should I try to lube the rails?
why i never thought about taping a screw on the screwdriver... do you know how many cuss words i used putting in my glass!?!?!
😂
cant get my upper stop on window, back in,i will have to remove the glass again, and force it it?????
I wouldn't force it.
still doesent help me puting back in
