As a kid playing army with friends, having no camo I wore a plaid shirt. I was hunkered down in a ditch sitting still and "the enemy" came within 15 feet of me when I got him. He was shocked because he never saw me. Anecdotal but I was impressed with that silly shirt.
Just ordered my .exact same as yours with the Cape. Paid about double what you paid up here in Canada but I knew that before I made my perches, and I do live in British Columbia. Speaking of price I just bought a limited edition Filson mackinaw Cape coat, beautiful coat but I paid just over 1000k for it up here. Great review, sold me.
Just received mine in the mail quality craftsmanship, fits great, great price!!!!!!!!! I have to purchase another one for my wife,128.00 shipped THANKS for video and info.
Plenty room for base layer and mid layer conforming merino shirts. Or you can layer your chest with inner vest. Or put on a shell over layer. Non issue.
I haven't found this to be an issue. I've been able to wear very thick sweaters under mine and I have gorilla arms. I often have issues with wrists and sleeves being too tight, but this piece has been perfect for me.
My question is how does the wool compare. I've been looking at a bunch of brands and want to know if Asbell can be worn itch free without a long sleeve Merino base layer. My Sleeping indian is great quality, but itchy without full coverage base layer. I've heard that Weather Wool can be worn next to skin with no itch.
I have a full zippered jacket in the same pattern.. I think it makes me loo fat, but I still love it. PS, is that an old Shakespeare bow you were holding? What model? Neat vintage bow.

I agree about how stiff the Filson stuff can be. It's like wearing armor sometimes, but improves with breaking in. This piece is just like a comfy hoodie. I'll have to look into the Lester River stuff, I'm not familiar with them. How are prices?
The Sitka stuff is top notch. Think Arc'teryx for hunting. Everything is very well thought out, best materials, top notch camo. It is not Arctic caliber warmth, but probably good enough for just about anything in the lower 48. My bow is a 1965 Shakespeare Wonderbow. Fiberglass reinforced red cedar. #45, but 52# at my 29.5" draw length. It shoots real smooth and quiet.

Size large would probably work pretty good for you, but it would depend on how much you wanted under it. Picking up that shoulder cape could help with adding warmth OVER your hoody without loosing the pattern.
Holds up perfectly against all winds that aren't uprooting trees and tossing Moose & Cattle 300' up off the ground. It's not, however, "windproof"; it's not a "windbreak" or an impervious outer shell garment. It's a breathable wool garment; breathable, like, as in, breathing, which is a two-way process. It'll let your vapor breathe out, and, will let wind breathe in. How easy and how much of this two-way breathability it will possess is dependent upon: 1) The garment's thickness, and, 2) The closeness/tightness of its weave. Asbell offers several thicknesses of wool textile, "blanket-weight" being their thickest, heaviest (29 Oz/Sq.Yd.) weight wool. Their next lightest is "extra-heavy", below which I don't bother going, but, all have their very legitimate purposes & applications. So, there's your long A to your short Q.
Hey Northwest Reliance, if you don’t mind what is your weight and chest measurement? My height and arm span are similar to yours. I really want to make sure I get the sizing correct between an XL and XXL.
Hmm, I couldn't say what my chest measurement was at the time, maybe 42-44. I'm just a little broad chested in general. I was probably about 190lbs at the time.

I'm afraid it's a gift from an old girlfriend. She bought it in Peru. It's my all-time favorite hat, but it smells like farm animal when it gets wet. I have reshaped it by steaming it. My other short brimmed hats that I like are made by Filson. There are a few models of their Packer hat, including a lined one with drop down earflaps. The outer is made of waxed cotton, their "Tin cloth" fabric. You might check them out. Hats are one of their few affordable items, but they're well made and look good.
I'm your size. Get an XL if you want some good layers under it, but a large will fit with only a base layer. The sleeves are good and long. The cape is a nice addition to it. I'm wearing both today.
It is your standard felted wool, so machines will shrink it. I washed this one in my bathroom sink with NikWax wool wash, which worked well, but has left an odor I'm not happy about for hunting. Luckily you will probably never need to wash it as wool tends to shed dirt so well. Mine only needed it because I lived in it 24/7 for months in the smoke.

I have two of their pullovers and love them. One is medium weight and the other is blanket. Very simple, functional gear that is comfortable.

The archery shirts have narrow sleeves to avoid contact with bow string, downside to that is the narrow sleeves limit layering under the shirt.

Correct, that is a circa 1965 Shakespear Wonderbow. Shoots smooth and quite and seems to be pretty fast.

How big are you and what size Pathfinder? I am 6’ 205 and drawing my bow, I gave an inch of bare wrist
