    After installation I printed a humble A5 and all cartridges are now very very low !
    The printer is also asking me to change the Maintenance Box as a drop is shown at the bottom of the screen.
    I will have to order a few cartridges... expensive business.
    A Maintenance Box was included in the delivery box.
    This printer is the replacement of the Epson R3000 which lasted 10-11 years which has no more spare parts and refused to eat the paper.
    Thank you again for this excellent review which I will see again in some points !
    Also read the review ! How detailed it is !
    Cheers ! :)

    Hi Keith, Good clear review about how to print long with the Epson P 700. I will probably never print such a long image because I don't live in a French chateau, but you never know, for special temporary events. Look forward to your complete review of the P900. Epson France are indicating a launch date of end of October. Stay safe and sound.

    What would we do without you Keith! Trying roll-printing (on the P900) for the first time. One question though: what print settings are you using? Im trying from LightRoom and Photoshop, but I seem to be limited to A2 - even when picking "Rollpaper" in the print setting dropdown menu (my image is 43 cm x 254 cm).

    Thank you Keith. I'm thinking of trying roll paper on economy grounds. I print 12" square on A3+ with a half inch border, which wastes a lot of paper (and therefore money!) I had reckoned on getting 30 prints from a 10m roll, but your video suggests the printer adds a lot of 'spare' paper at the front end. Is there a way to minimise that?

    • @KeithCooper
      @KeithCooper  Před 10 měsíci +2

      Careful setup of custom sizes will help, but you need to check the roll print settings in the manual.
      Roll paper is unfortunately often not quite the economy measure think it will be
      Then there is the problem of the very strong curl you get on such small rolls...

      Just got a p900 and have noticed 3 indentations on the prints along the entire length. The roll is not being left in the machine but rather fresh out of a box and printed within minutes of loading. Hope that helps someone with making decisions, not a cheap roll paper either but epson legacy etching 17". The driver is also shall we say temperamental on my mac m2 when setting up a roll print. Prints are great otherwise and have done a couple 5-6 foot long ones. Had some issues on images of about 1GB in size with artifacts at the end. Using print preview seems to be a requirement to get stuff to print successfully (not to preview it but it just doesn't select correct paper source or sends rubbish data)

FWIW, your very detailed and informative article about this printer pointed out some irregularities in the non-UK (OK, not yours) installation of this printer (I live in France). It might be worth mentioning to all your fans / acolytes / disciples [?] that software installations differ from region to region. There have also been two firmware updates since you published this video. In the second, I lost all my Epson ICCs on Mac OS 10.15.7. The solution according to my *other* printer guru is to delete the printer from System preferences and reinstall, making sure it's the Epson driver, not the default Apple one, that's installed, which restores your ICCs.
