Me!! Blown away by his voice just amazing!❤
Just heard this song on one of my Facebook reels. Haven't heard of disturbed before but this rendition is truly amazing. I have a few songs I replay on CZcams and this is set to be another
as much as I love the original version. this is done well. there is no way anyone can do the original justice this version has the passion of this time in it. I love this thank you for sharing
It’s amazing how someone can be so angelic yet so demonic with their voice.
I can really think of only one voice on a par...that of Ronnie James Dio
He touches my soul when i hear him sing that no one can else can put the spiritual feeling in it
The boys did an excellent job with this one
This is one of my fav songs from S and G but the version overwhelmed my body. I mean I got goose bumps all over, my heart rate increased and my tummy flipped all at the same time. I’m replaying to get that hit again! Glorious. Thank you.
I had this song played at my 21 yr. Old son's funeral. He introduced it to me and I fell in love with it.
May he rest in peace ❤️
sorry for ur loss
F
Sue Goff So sorry for your loss. Thought you might want to know (if you didn't already) that Paul Simon was 21 when he wrote this song.
I know ur pain & am so sorry for ur loss. Lost my daughter 3 months after she turned 21..5 years in March. Raising two beautiful granddaughters.
The absolute best ever version. I loved Simon and Garfunkel, but your passion just surpasses it. Can't stop watching it. I am 69 years, but you stir up feelings (cut it out, not like that). Just a feeling of energy I guess. k Thank you
Susie
Hello friend 😊,how are you doing today?
complètement d'accord, j'ai 58 ans et cette version me remplie d'énergie quand mon moral n'est pas super. Je peux l'écouter 3 fois de suite, je l'adore
Bro… it’s better than the original. He’s got such emotional range with his voice… wow.
This song has been my favorite since the original came out in 1964....(yes I'm old...lol) but THIS...THIS is how I always envisioned the lyrics SHOULD be sung and the music played. I don't want to take away from Simon & Garfunkel in any way...but the lyrics just evoke the sadness and reverence that Disturbed has honored it with....THIS IS A MASTERPIECE. Thank you, Disturbed. Thank you Simon & Garfunkel.
Well said

This song has been always a good song until this. Perfect song!
Amen this gets into your soul.
This is truth. Maybe more...
This song actually touches my soul, it's the absolute truth and it's very sad the way the world is
Write on
Me too. I share your feelings on the world. Seeing people sad and dead inside almost drained due to this epidemic. It hurts my heart. Good to share my emotions somewhere and why not here after hearing this powerful song.
The worked sometime gives me joy
World
What is sad about the world?
Covid 19 lockdown blues?
Its chilling to the bone, great song, i lost my brother in law of 28 years to cancer.. i love this song ❤❤❤❤
Leave it to Disturbed to shatter my heart into a million pieces with the opening lines "Hello Darkness, my old friend" then instill pride and hope in my soul with the closing lines. Excellent job guys!
That is an outstanding rendition of Sounds of Silence. Bravo, deeply moving.
I love Disturbed and this cover is phenomenal!!!!
I absolutely love your rendition of this song, your passion is moving. Thank you 😊.
Wow! I love it! I would love to hear how Disturbed would sing Amazing Grace and How Great Thou Art.
Peace all you majestic souls of love and light!🕊🙏💞💞💞🕊
This song is a song that I've known ever since someone wrote it but hearing this come from him is just a miracle man
It was written by Simon and Garfunkel in 1963...the year I was graduated from high school.
MY GOD I'VE HEARD HIM SING THIS A THOUSAND TIMES, N I APPRECIATE HIS PERMORANCE MORE & MORE EACH TIME I HEAR HIM. U R THE SOLEMN MAJESTY OF SOUL & FEELING. U R THE BEST.
The most beautful rendition of this song I have erer heard. There is such feeling in it. Ilove. Never listened before, my favorite song now. It touchrs me.
Hello friend 😊,how are you doing today?
The one thing...far too many people have ZERO understanding of the value ‘of silence!
The song means people were silent when nuclear bombs were manufactured
PEOPLE are silent while CHINA destroys the world
FUCK CHINA
I was never really a fan of the original, but this cover made me love the song
How many people often stop there busy lifes just sit and enjoy the peaceful sound of silence love this song hell yeah
I do, have since my daughter was killed.
@@vickygehrke7789 im very sorry for your loss i dont know if words can express my grief for you but stay strong thru this struggle
@@codyperdue5155 Thank you. You seem to be a very nice person, you don't come across that anymore. PLEASE don't change. No one gets it. BLESS YOUR HEART ⚘💙💛❤🧡💚
@@vickygehrke7789 i try to be and your welcome yes i agree it is rare to find those types of people bless you as well
@@vickygehrke7789 oh my :O
i'm sorry to hear that :'(
i have my reasons for being here at this video, buti can fight against it
good luck with your loss
as for the comment above: i do stop here once in a while, because that voice presses the tears out of my eyes
i can't handle this song too many times, as it's pressing all the frustration out of me with tears
but yes, i stop here when it's too much
i always get weakened by it :P
glad there's some music
as for true "sound of silence", i have several video's on youtube i visit a lot, with beach or fireplace sounds and such, and they calm me down nicely
good luck with the dark side of life, and stay strong.... i almost lost the right to say that at one point, but i somehow got through
have a nice day :)
Note to Disturbed: have you ever considered a remake of all the Simon and Garfunkel songs? You bring so much Power to their music.
OMG I love DISTURBEDS version of the Sounds of Silence. I was only in primary school when this first came out. Since hearing this version, it's so powerful it brings me to tears each time. Really listening to the lyrics makes you stop and think about what is becoming of us when we aren't communicating with each other. I have this on my play list. So, yeah, a moderately old duck like me is listening to this in 2024, and beyond.
