  • We’ve created a ready-made showfile that reduces the time it takes to setup your console for a new stage layout to almost nothing.
In creating the MA3 Template Showfile, we’ve taken the intuitive concept of the “push of a button” Color Picker Generator, and tried to expand it to an entire show, spanning positions, intensity effects, movement effects and much more.
We’ve made all these features available in ready-to-go, but easily customizable layout views, a button and fader layout, as well as a structured and easy to handle scheme for all pool objects. Both the layout views and the hardware layouts are ready for MA3 consoles and command wing setups.

I have seen on your website, that you will release a new Plugin soon. Would you recommend me to wait for it or rather buy the actual busking show?

      Hey, thanks for your question!
So if you are looking for a showfile, you can buy this without hesitation.
There are no plans to replace it with a totally different or new showfile.
We will simply develop some extensions and new standalone plugins.

This may be a silly question to ask you specifically as my issue is probably ignorance of the MA3 system. If I use your show file template to create a look (some washes in a certain color using the color picker, beams in one of the preset positions, spots in a different preset position, floods with a different color), is it possible to save that as a cue in a sequence? Going beyond a rather simple look like I described above, can you create a more complex look with effects running and save that to a cue in a sequence?

Hey, thanks for your comment and the question!
The question is not silly at all :-)
Pretty important topic for the creation of fixed corporate looks or timecode shows based on the file.
MA3 has a function in the store menu called "Store Look".
This saves the current look on stage with respect to presets, which is great.
So basically that is the function you are talking about.
MA says: This area only has one toggle button: Look. This can be turned On or Off.
When this is On, then all attributes for fixtures with a dimmer value above 0, are stored. If Active For Selected is selected and there are fixtures that have a dimmer level actively at 0% in the programmer, then only the dimmer value will be stored for these fixtures even if other attributes are active in the programmer.
This can be combined with various settings for Data Source and Use Selection.
      Hope this helps!

Where in the show file do you recommend putting in X-Laser lasers running on the Mercury mode? X-Laser: Mercury: Master and Builder. Should it be part of the main stage, or SFX stage or does it matter at all?

      Hey, Thanks for your question!
Stages in MA3 are only there to keep some order in the patch or to get different, separate stages as setups in MA 3D. (help2.malighting.com/Page/grandMA3/patch_stage/en/1.9)
So it doesn't really affect where you put it.
You can just do it the way it fits best / makes sense for you.
      Hope this helps! :-)

Can this apply to any light combination? Does it have a limitation to how many different types of lights we can use?

    • @mblightarts
      @mblightarts  Před 2 měsíci

      Hey! Thanks for your question.
So our new Version V2 will be able to control up to 8 individual fixture groups.
Apart from this you can use the MA3 software freely and put as many different fixture types (lights) into one of our groups, to control them together.
      Hope this helps!
