Wedding venues in the US seem different from here - we don't tend to have dedicated spaces like the bridal suite - I think there is a trend in the US to have more bridesmaids and groomsmen than we do. I had two - we made it work - we got ready from our house and kicked My Man out for the night. The car took me from my house to the venue with my Parents. We got married at a church - our choice and then had a reception at a proper castle hotel - dating back to the 12th century - that was my dream venue lol....

The castle is beautiful. It’s crazy how much these places cost. I can’t justify being in debt for the rest of my life because of my wedding. Lol
It blows my mind 😂. My siblings and I did destination type weddings and then had a party afterward for local people who could not attend. But we all bought homes before we married. Gotta love the middle of the country😅 it will be fun to “watch” Taylor’s planning.

Haha omg I am SO GLAD you didn’t pick the Glen Cove mansion!! We stayed there for a wedding in 2019 and the wedding coordinator was not very helpful or friendly towards guests at all. Also, you are absolutely correct: the rooms were awful 😂 we had a wonderful weekend because we love our friends and the wedding itself was great, but genuinely as guests, we didn’t think the place was worth the money and definitely needed full scale renovations in the rooms already 4 years ago! I can only imagine things have gotten worse since if they’ve not done anything about the repairs in the last 4 years 😬😬 we had a bathroom faucet that was literally HANGING off the wall and when we complained about it, we were met with a blank stare and “what would you like us to do about it” attitude. Haha
Wow! Yeah we heard similar stories! It’s a shame because otherwise it’s a nice place but they definitely need to update! Thanks for sharing! 💗💗
