God I loved being a kid in the 80’s. Listening to this at the age of 43, this song was all heart. I heard this on the radio the other day and it just gave me goosebumps hearing it again. Bonnie has so much emotion in her voice and wow can she sing with feeling. Songs these days lack that.
Her voice pushes me back through time and space that recall memories of days I miss and long for again.

BANE ,I've never heard Meatloaf's version, I know he had a very powerful voice but his popularity faded fairly fast.
Chloe kohanski of the voice usa 2017 nailed this song.. she gave so much emotions with this song and her voice was similar to bonnie and it hits #1 on the itunes..
the fact that Jim Steinman finished this after he met with Bonnie just deepens her passion-she still says that she can't believe he gave it to her,and Jim says that he felt her beautiful voice was not being stretched to it's fullest potential by her previous material,so he clearly had so much faith in her to bring this to life-nobody apart from Bonnie Tyler should sing this

I'm not really sure that's his voice, I think this isn't truly live. The reason I say is because I've listened to the other live versions and the original singer comes out and sounds exactly like this guy.

I got to see her in the 80's as well as Kim Carnes who also has that sexy raspy vocals and also saw Pat Benetar, Joan Jett , Till Tuesday and Blondie in 79.. All because my older sister worked for the 2 concert venues and the best FM station.. A few were backstage.. I got to see and even meet so many amazing bands and artists..
