Michelle Yeoh is one of the most famous Asian actress. I believe she is a brand ambassador for Richard Mille and has done a collaboration in the past.
She wears them on every red carpet and she's awesome
Michelle Yeoh has also been a brand ambassador since 2009 and was their second endorsement after Rafael Nadal. She is married to Ferrari/F1 executive Jean Todt who has been longtime close friends with Mille and believed to have introduced the two.
She won the oscar last year!

I don’t watch too many shows and movies but its interesting to hear you’ve never heard of some of these people before.
Boom first comment, I actually like the Cartier Roadster that Donald Glover wore. Also loving the Cristian talk sessions in recent videos, feel like you have been making a lot of great points in your arguments.
I think you're putting too much stock in these people dressing themselves for this event. They do not. They have sometimes entire teams of stylists and makeup artists who dictate what they wear and alter every piece to fit exactly the way it should. Every single thing worn to the MET gala or any other event like this is very carefully chosen by at least one stylist, sometimes by multiple stylists. They each have relationships with the clothing brands and I would assume the same applies to the watches as well. The fashion industry doesn't work the way you think it does for these events. If someone is wearing something, it was planned months and months in advance and sometimes the person actually wearing the clothing (or watch) doesn't have much say in that
I am so glad you said that most of us would test our dive watches the same as a cocktail watch. I always laugh when people make a big deal about water resistance like we are all swimming everywhere. Never understood it

Sharp tongue for an event that is clearly built on pageantry and exaggerated aesthetics. Time like this is when an opposing view like Michael is really appreciated. You’re too busy bashing with no comic relief which just makes you come off as an a hole. Then there was no real focus on the watches, I couldn’t even see the watches in most these shots

While I've never been a fan of these "gala" events whether the Oscar's, Grammys, or what ever, but this Met Gala always takes the cake. I always look at the red carpwt shows just to see what people are wearing on their backs and wrist.
This years theme for the Met Gala was Alice in Wonderland I think. Hence the really weird fashion.
