Music at 5:13 is like song The Cult - She Sells Sanctuary. Thanks for the upload I was searching for this, I have demo 1 but dont played for a while :-)
5:17 I've just noticed that this (scrapped) version of the Dino tech demo has a different controller input than what it originally was, so that means that it was a different version? The original had it like this: D-Pad: Move Dino []/(): Turn left/right X//\: Flip up/down L1/R1: Turn Dino's head left/right L2: Open mouth R2: Show teeth I doubt that it was an another version of the demo, since you could use the L3/R3 (analog) buttons (Stomp Foot/Roar) and you had to press the /\ button to quit. Also that version I think was intended for the analog controller, since you could move the camera with the left stick and move the head with the right one. You could lash the tail, too with the () button.
I remember finding some of these stuff, pretty cool to see them again BTW Weren't you the guy that made the full playtrough of The Fifth Element ? Did you delete it ? Because i can't find it anymore.
Yes I was, but I took it down because I got a copyright notice, but I'm sure you can still find a walkthrough to that game from someone else elsewhere.
The man, who exposes the bad and the obscure Well not that I was actually interested in that walktrough or in that horrible game,I was actually searching your channel with that playtrough because i forgot your channel name, and I found you by luck with this video xD
Do you happen to know what the MUSIC.VLC file in the original Demo 1 is for? I assume it's a background loop that went unused but I'm not totally sure.
From the selection of titles I believe I own a version 5 of Demo1 disc (thanks for reminding me the red disck packing, completely forgot about that one but when I saw the picture Igot a beutiful flashback and nostalgia feeling
Found the hidden files yesterday and I actually got Ultra Cheats to work. You can edit CONTENTS.ENG in DD to launch it. Cut "DD\UCHEATS\UCHEAT.EXE" from 3,1,0,0,0 to 2,1,0,0,0 and "M_G_S_V\MGSVID.EXE" from 2,1,0,0,0 to 3,1,0,0,0. This will launch Ultra Cheats instead of the Metal Gear video. Use CDmage to replace the file. You can also replace the help screen and icon.
The credit screen on the original Demo 1 actually does appear if you leave it idle for long enough. Not sure about version 2, though. EDIT: oh wait nvm it's not on version 2 as you said
+SicksTeaPhoarAlt Ah, I see now. Thanks for the info. This reminds me alot of Retro Force, which has the same thing: Leaving it idle at the main menu for a long period of time will reveal the game's credits, which before, I never knew but only by looking at the game's files via hex-editor.
+The man, who exposes the bad and the obscure Also, I forgot to mention that there's two unused sound effects on ver. 1 (and presumably ver. 2 as it uses the same front-end). I think this info could be worthy of TCRF, even if it is just a demo disc. :)
How do you know that one of those two guys in demo 3 and demo 4 is Vince Diesi. Have you seen his picture? www.linkedin.com/in/vince-diesi-4179555/detail/photo/

Thanks for making this!

Oh, wait. It does. I needed to make an account however.
