    Whatever you do, do not follow these instructions. Make sure the machine is completely assembled in the hopper. The tube going down to the beater blade should be in the hole. The mix has to go through the pump first to take in air to be fluffy. If you pour it into the hopper and then through the hole into where the beater blade is then you will have just solid ice cream like from a gravity fed machine for at least the first 10 cones.

      @@RepairDIY this is the way every ice cream man and woman used this machine. I know what you are trying to do is have ice cream all in the machine before it freezes I get that but what you need to do is put ice cream mix inside, then turn the machine on and turn to wash for about 15 to 20 seconds and then turn onto freeze and I can guarantee if your machine is working properly you will have the best fluffy ice cream you can get just as good as out of a Rapida 2 or any other top end machine. If you are still having heavy ice cream come through then take your pump out, turn the gears and if you can see a gap between where the gears meet then your gears are worn or pump needs reconditioning. Ever need any advice give me a shout on here, not trying to be offensive ot confrontational just want people to have the right information when using these Carpigiani machines.

    • @RepairDIY
      @RepairDIY  Před 5 lety +2

      Yes, I saw someone used this or the Taylor 140 in a van or a food trailer. The easiest way is to run from a generator. Some specialists could "cut" the machine and make it powered by the van engine to drive the compressor. But the control circuit has to be powered by electricity anyway. Have a good day.

      @RepairDIY  Před 4 lety

      @@idicullamappillai3904 hi, my machine also had a rotary control switch. it had electronic control circuits but the hardness of ice cream is control by mechanical movement of the flying wheel (see my video about how to adjust the ice cream hardness). For newer machines, the hardness of ice cream is controlled by measuring the electrical current flowing through the beater motor. cheers

    • @RepairDIY
      @RepairDIY  Před 4 lety +1

      @@idicullamappillai3904 hi, on some machines the overrun can be changed. but on my machine the overrun is fixed, not adjustable. For machines with adjustable overrun, you should have a lever on your mixer pump so that you can adjust the overrun by changing the angel of the overrun lever. you can check you pump to see if you have anything adjustable. good luck!

    hi how long does it take to start every day? and is it worth the hassle if i expect to sell only 30-40 ice creams a day or will it ruin the machine? thanks

    • @RepairDIY
      @RepairDIY  Před 6 lety

      if you do cleaning everyday, it may take 20 to 30 min in the morning and 30 to 60 min in the evening. some machine may require cleaning every three days or two weeks or even longer with newer machines (automatic heat treatment every night!). Worth it? It may depend on individual's views, I think it may worth it if you could sell 30+. Good luck!

      @RepairDIY  Před 3 měsíci +1

      hi, yes it is relatively noisy when running! The motors may be loaded with a strong spring, you could check it properly loaded. You could also check where the noise comes from, for example it could be a loose panel/cover, you could find a way to reduce the vibration there. Good luck!

      for making soft ice cream, you do need a machine as a lot of air needed to blended in. for harder ice cream, you could use a small ice cream maker (smaller than rice cooker). it is also possible to make ice cream without machine by stirring regularly, in and out of freezer. have a good day!

    Why do ice cream vans stop outside the house at the end of the road and as soon as you put your shoes on they drive off. I swear if they just stayed in one spot for more than 2 minutes they would make alot more money.
    I'm start to think millionaires buys ice cream vans just to drive off and laugh at people running down the road in there slippers.
