The fact PG secretly met up with Kawhi and planned all this out while still under contract is the biggest snake move period. Sure OKC got picks in return but what do you expect them to do? PG said he wanted to join the Clippers not he wanted out. OKC had no other choice. They couldn't even get Lou Will, Bev, or Harrell, players who actually had value. Giving Russ a chance to comete. PG knew him leaving would result in Russ getting moved. He ended OKC with his decision single handily.

New Cba... new free agents aren't allowed to talk to players under contract for a set period of time after their contracts are up. So for example, Leonard(or anyone in his camp) couldn't reach out to Paul Geiger during this set period of time, but could reach out to Kevin Durant (another free agent). For example, if Leonard was reaching out to join the Lakers, he could request to speak to a player like lebron with approval from the front office of the Lakers while during this "quiet period". Players can recruit to their respective teams, but free agents couldn't recruit players under contract to different teams. Another example is players who have gone passed the "quiet period" like Carmelo, he can talk to whoever, free agent or player under contract. Long story short, new free agents aren't allowed to talk to players under contract during the free agency period. Give the players more money in the cba for this.
