With Johnny Carson and Ed McMahon dead now, it would have been easy for Doc to inflate his importance on the show, but he showed grace and modesty --- and, of course, truth --- in assigning to Johnny most of the credit for the success of the Tonight Show. Clearly, the guy's a class act.
