Hey Kyle I am having some troubles finding the plane good it's great the problem is that whenever I thow it's gonna barrel roll most of the and since I am in a closed area how can I fixt it I think it's a glider bud I'm not sure also I don't why it just flys like a regular plane would can u fix the issue pls it's my first best plane I made@@FoldableFlight

Another great fold; I'm particularly intrigued by the dual locking mechanisms. Something after my own heart.
The large winglets make a lot of sense. I've pretty much concluded, in my own models, that folds like the fin in the back are more for manipulation of pitch than yaw, and it seems you've reached that same conclusion. So the massive winglets create enough straight line stability to counteract the sometimes errant yaw moments created by that
fin.
You're my favorite designer, outside of John, because you pay attention to the science as much as he does and I do!

Phillip, thanks for your kind words. You're right that, in many models, the central fin functions to add up elevator. I'd argue that it still provides directional stability on the yaw axis as well, but no more than a fuselage below the plane would. On a model like Regent, the central fin doesn't provide much up elevator because the valley folds of the fin are locked tightly within the plane and don't deflect air in the same way that they would without the locking mechanisms. You're spot on about the large fins helping to correct the errant yaw moments generated by the asymmetry in the locking mechanism (and therefore in the central fin).

this is my fav plane i made it it went with the wind.
You should do some of the advanced videos with some zoom. I find a few videos hard to follow while doing some of the tiny mountain folds ect..
I just got a better camera so I can zoom in more in editing. I’ll be doing that for future videos :-)
