"That was the first time I was ever in a car with the police in front of me..." 🤣🤣
I think Joe Walsh is about the coolest, most humble, appreciative rocker I can think of, and just about the most under-rated guitarist ever.
Between Joe and Ray there must be thousands of crazy stories to tell.
I met Joe at his 4th year of sobriety party back in the 90s, I went with his (at that time) sponsor. I ended up his Barber for the next several years. He's as good as there is guitar wise, he's done a ton of studio work he's not even credited for. I believe he could've been a successful Stand up Comic had he not been a musician, he's 1 of the most naturally funny people I've ever met. He sharp and quick, he must've been a real maniac when he was "enhanced", lol.
Can you imagine him with Keith Moon or John Belushi . And when Joe was using. If you’ve seen the documentary about the Eagles he tells the story of him and John Belushi trying to get into a 5 star restaurant. I won’t spoil it but if interested watch the documentary. Walsh is probably the most naturally funny musician of all time.
@@damohanson5393 Like I said I met him in his relatively early sobriety. A self effacing sense of humor, with humility and very down to earth. Particularly knowing I'd only scratched the surface of the crazy lifestyle that'd he'd lived and made it out the other end.

I would, but I’ve already got it… and Ray signed it!! Of course I live in the DFW area & see him every time he is around here. 🐍
Done!
Me and my wife went to see Ringo & His Allstar Band several years back in Indiana damn good show damn good time.
I can’t get over how young Ringo looks.
Haha, what a great story RWH tells. Imagine Joe Walsh calling, being invited to the wedding, Ringo Starr..nice story. Thanks to you both.
Otis, so happy to have found this series. I especially lived this one. Makes me want to keep getting better at making up songs. Imagine you write a song and Ringo and Joe Walsh love it and...wow. Great story from a great songwriter! Otis, this idea to chronicle all these stories brilliant boss. Peace and love.
What a fun time you must have had doing the interview with Ray Wylie Hubbard.
Thank you Otis for sharing these.
Pure gold. Thanks, Otis!
Fantastic as always. Otis, the way you laugh makes these RWH bits priceless. Thanks for giving a damn
(See what I did there? )
Fantastic stories, infectious laugh Mr Gibbs 😂
What a great storyteller. RWH has lived quite a life.
Thanks Otis, I bought RWH's book after you mentioned it. Can't wait to read it. Great story teller.
"The first time I had cops in front of my car" great stuff...I lived in Colorado and back in the late '70s-80s Joe Walsh had quite the reputation for let's just say enjoying the drink and other people's ladies.
I'm so glad I got to spend a little time with Ray, although I'm sure he wouldnt remember. He is so hilarious.
I wonder how many marriages he's created with Snake Farm? LOL. Spreading the love. Proud of him.
I love everything about this...Ray, Joe, Ringo- the coolest. I also really appreciate Ray discussing his sobriety/ recovery ... it is so important. Peace y'all ✌🏻
And……… of course, an awesome story!!!😂❤
Pretty much is.
REALLY enjoy these archives! You laughing in the is funny.
I love you Ringo.
OMG, RWH is such a sweet guy, and he makes me laugh so hard I thought I hurt myself!! LOL He is indeed a folk treasure!! I haven't bought the book yet but I need to do it asap!! 8) --gary
Ray is a musical treasure and a good human. Back in 2007 when my wife and I and another couple tried are hand at promoting shows at the Old Leon Springs Dancehall in San Antonio Ray was the first show we booked. Judy, Ray and his guys were all class acts. We didn’t know what we were doing but it worked out and of course Ray was great as usual. Glad Ray is still healthy, sober and doing so well. Very cool story thanks Otis.
These stories are f.....g awsome man
This guy is really funny 🤣

And then....Ringo plays on your Co-Starring CD Ray. I'd like to hear that story. Speaking of Snake Farm-that damn thing is impossible to find in the stores
Saw him first at one of the Dallas County Community Colleges in '81 or '82
Great story
Thanks✌🏽🏴
my ear instantly perked up when i first heard a RWH tune. then i heard more and he's a fixture now.
i turned my old chums in Pittsburgh onto South of the River . went over well.
Funk on the 49th floor, brother!
This beyond amazing 😂🎉
All star cast 💯
That was very cool. Thank you🤟
Cool story! Love RWH.
Al Jorgensen from Ministry recently said in an interview that Joe Walsh, who he was told was a big shot coke dealer in LA, sold him bunk coke. Not sure if or when it happened, but I like to think of Joe screwing over Al and it making him hate the Eagles, which is what he said happened 😂
well thanks brother otis and ray wylie julsy is def goonna keep on ding whatever the heck i do whoever watchs thanks for the inspiration honsty and coolness much love peace stuff and things - stephen juls otis career rubin
Rock On Children ❤️ 🎸 🎶 🎵 📝 lyrical 2
Too many damn bass players...😂
Joe Walsh flew to Glasgow to play 4 songs for Frankie Miller, then flew home. Took the roof off the Barrowlands - the house band was part Lizzy, part SAHB, part Nazareth, and no one could hold a candle to Joe......
Hey Otis…keep doing this…
Cool 🤟
So Joe Walsh just randomly comments that you might just get Ringo or Dave Grohl, or somebody or other to jam your song later... I guess that's just a Saturday for some people - LOL.
Snake Farm it just sounds nasty...
❤❤❤❤
That guy is funny
You mean to tell me you got to meet Ringo Starr and also got a good parking space? Damn.
Ray Wylie can talk about nothing and it's fascinating, but it's usually about something, but just another day for RWH.
