    I know a guy who was named after Admiral Nelson. A jaunty chap with no sea-bearing legs whatsoever. Which is utterly ironic considering he is named Admiral.

    Cromwell was a Huntingdonshire/modern-day Cambridgeshire man; Norfolk has no claim on him (though then again, why you'd want to claim that monster is another matter). :P

      @@WeaselKing1000 cromwell got a tank, several hundred statues, numerous books, schools and street names after him. Ireton is largely forgotten. I usually write people off who dislike Cromwell as not knowing either the history or time period he was in. Guy was a legend.

      @@Tiwaz81 He was a religious fanatic who hilariously died partly through refusing to accept an anti-malarial treatment associated with the Jesuits. But purely militarily, he was no doubt a highly effective commander. Particularly his Irish campaign. Wonderful performance at Drogheda. Perhaps the Bundeswehr should have a 'Von Manstein' tank.

      @@WeaselKing1000 yes. Drogheda was a particularly good master stroke. Led to several other towns falling with out any blood shed. Shame about the garrison, but they had the chance to surrender, so forfeit their lives blame their commander for that. He wasn’t particularly fanatical either, he was fairly moderate.
      He lifted a ban on Jews, and had no issues with Catholics, Quaker’s and other Christian dominations worshipping privately. He supported a state church but did not believe in mandatory attendance… beggers belief you Harbour such dislike for a man yet seemingly no nothing about him.
