Aquaphor is the BEST. Cheap, very moisturizing, safe, simple. Accessible as well. I'm on my second bottle and I'm gonna repurchase forever. I've tried like a hundred lip balms and I'm super picky so trust me on this one!
love the Smith’s rosebud salve. It leaves such a subtle but pretty tint and lasts forever for me 💕
I love the glossier balm. My lips used to dry out, peel, and crack every winter! Now I just use this in the morning and at night and my lips are so soft and hydrated.
I went to Sephora to asked the worker for a new lip balm to try.... They requested I try the Laneige lip mask and the was the first time I was introduced to using a lip mask as a balm.
I live in Sweden and winters here can be brutal. The only thing that has helped me is the Paulas Choice Lip and Body Treatment. It has similar ingredients to the Glossier one but the jar lasts forever. It will repair the lips overnight. I've tried Aquaphor, By Terry and the Laneige lip mask and they didn't work for me.
Unfortunately it has lanolin which some people are allergic too 😭😭😭 i know it's amazing though, ive used it before
Paula’s Choice makes some great products I’ll have to try this treatment. I’ve been wanting to try Baume de Rose forever too By Terry
The unscented Balm Dot Com is also so good as a cruelty-free (but not vegan) vaseline replacement for the skin when I’m super dry from tretenoin. It really helps with the peeling stage

I also really love the Milk Makeup melatonin sleeping lip mask. I don't know anything about melatonin in skincare, but the scent of the balm is nice before bed and has that Vaseline texture. My lips are usually always dry but this stuff has done wonders for me

Look up “ginger sugar over night lip mask” on Amazon , it’s Asian and idk the brand name but it’s sooo THICK and actually works so well. It was recommended to me on CZcams in the comments and now I’m hooked
I’m the worst when it comes to lip balms because what I want doesn’t exist. I want something hydrating, long lasting, but not too occlusive, and something that encourages me to want to put on lip balm. Even though I’m terrible with reapply, I’m not sure why I just don’t like to reapply lol
Maybe try the Then I Met You honeydew balm. It looks super light but hydrating!
There's a chapstick that's like that! It's super cheap and widely available, it's made by O'Keefe's Working Hands. It's in an orange tube with a blue lid. It's hydrating, not sticky, long lasting, and it's almost like a hybrid of lotion and gel without being heavy. It's amazing!!!!

When I was on Accutane, I discovered a cocoa body butter balm from Queen Bee Maui and it does everything you say you want. I order a giant jar every year.
I’ve been using Carmex lip balm for years, helps me with cold sores

Hello Susan! I have a very dry lips, so I love lip balms very much. I use Laneige sleeping mask at night forever, because it's very big jar. I bought it because of your recommendation, but I don't feel that it does anything for my lips. Once I wash it off in the morning, lips are dry underneath. My daughter is using coconut Glosier one and enjoying. I often put only natural honey on my lips, it seems to be much more moisturising than anything else. After I just put Decubal lips&dry spots balm, it's very thick and nourishing, made with basic 5 ingredients: petrolatum, paraffinum, cera alba, ricinus seed oil and vit E. That's it, very basic and rich, perfect for winter in Sweden (it's -2C right now by the way). I always loved Lancome juicy tubes and it's pity that they stopped producing it. That's my daytime go to sparkle.
I swear the laneige sleeping mask dries out my lips!
I came here to say the first aid beauty tinted lip rescue stuff is amazing! Sooo creamy. Nice for people like me who don't like a full on lip color.
The best lip balm is " bag balm" very cheap and very effective.
My mom swore by that stuff so much that I still have some in the cabinet. I won my grandmother in law over when she was talking about needing some one time, and I brought her some the next time I came over. That stuff is a miracle. Especially with an overnight hand or foot mask.

My holy grail balm that doubles as “your lips but better” is the Dior lip glow in Rosewood. But I have soooo many different balms. I just love them.
I bought a lip balm from Alida Pure Body Care, I use their blackberry one and it is absolutely amazing! Hydrates in no time and stays on for longer periods. I love it!!

i've tried hundreds of lipbalms and have lips that crack and bleed and found that aquaphor healing ointment was one of the best things for me. i still have to reapply but truly helps so so much
By Terry is so worth it. The jar lasts forever. It also helps with dry, flaky patches on the skin. Lips look great after use. It is a skincare staple & holy grail for me.

Yaaass! I have the tinted FAB lip therapy and it's to die for. Always in my purse.
An oldie but goodie for me is the Dr. Lipp Nipple Balm. That name always threw me off because I thought it was for nipples only, but when I tell you it’s a miracle worker. It is so good! At first I was only using it on my lips, but decided to try it out on my elbows and eczema dry patches and it’s amazing. It’s significantly thicker than aquaphor, so it stays in place better. You can use it anywhere, and a little goes a very long way.

Thank you for this video. Just a minor correction - the Aquaphor Immediate Lip Repair balm does not contain petrolatum. Cleaner drugstore alternative with shea butter. Great for anyone who prefers a petrolatum free and paraben free lip balm. I love it. I also use CeraVe ointment on my lips. People should realize that petrolatum is nontoxic.
Oh weird! The one with SPF has petrolatum and it’s the first one I ever used, so I assumed it’s the same. Thanks for pointing that out!

One of my favs is the Patchology Gloss to Balm. It has Goji Berry in it and it feels amazing on the lips.
In 2020 I realized: 1) that I despise beeswax in my lip balms AND 2) that I don't have to settle for it :-D
Yes! I loved the color and smooth application of Burt's Bees tinted lip balms and shimmers but the beeswax (and peppermint oil) in them left my lips dry after a short time. I hate wasting money or product, however, so I use them as an occlusive tint, lightly applied over my Aquaphor Lip Treatment sometimes.
@@toBe8ere such a good idea - I tend to do the same with any waxy hangers-on I encounter... I actually think the Jack Black stick balm works really well as a treatment topper too.

My favourite is probably the Burt's Bees ones. Especially the Mango flavoured one.

I am a lip balm junkie! I have like 50 lip balms 😂 I’m favorite at night is the Bite Agave lip masque! Their lip balm is also good for during the day.

I do use the CeraVE healing onitment on my lips at night. I have found lately (since winter hit) that it does not last all night like I want it to. It does make my lips feel so smoothe.
I love the laneige sleeping mask. I used to be a Bite girl but it's so thick and goopy to me. The laneige one just sits on my lips the right way! I don't use anything else. I just keep little pots of this everywhere. I love it so much I bought all the girls I work with a pot for Christmas last year.

I love most of these! I also like a thick sealing balm. Winters in Northern Michigan are brutal. The glossier balm will stand up to ski season.
I use the Jack Black during the day and Aquaphor one at night atm. The only issue I have with the Jack Black is some of the flavor/scents. The best one is the Shea butter, it just smells/tastes like sugar. I used the mint one for a long time and I liked the tingle it gave, but when the cold weather came, the tingle became a burning sensation that I didn’t like. But my No 1 lip balm is Keihls Lip Balm No 1 - I have used this almost 10 years - I even put it on my face when I regularly scrubbed the skin off of my face with a physical scrubs and my skin was like the Sahara.
I recently tried Summer Friday’s lip balm and I’m in love!

I use Lansinoh - it is just 100% lanolin and I use it every night and it is always still on my lips in the morning and its so cheap and lasts forever (technically a nipple cream lol - but it works) my lips always look plump and hydrated in the morning! Highly recommend!
I recommend u should try Lanolips lip balm. To me, it is a long-lasting and affordable one. however, I don't really how it tastes on my lip when I just apply it.
Susan you have to try the ormedic lip balm by image skincare!! It’s amazing!
for me (and ive used a shit ton of lip balms):
1. aquaphor (tube not lip therapy... better for your money and im not sure if the ingredients are the same maybe its just easier to put more on when its from the tube but it feels A TON more moisturizing when you use it from the tube and its also so so cheap considering it lasts for months and months)
1. burts bees pomegranate (gives a nice tint and tastes good and feels thicker than the other scents/flavors... amazing for during the day and you can even layer aquaphor over it at night and it will be on when you wake up)
2. mario badescu lip balm original (very thick and moisturizing)
3. carmex (thin and slick but feels very moisturizing i like this during the day it just tastes bad)
I love the CO Bigalow Mentha lip tint, gives my lips a zing, and this stays on all night for me. Any of the lip squeezy tubes or rollup Chapstick ones also, they are all good. I got mine at Bath and Body works, (also on Amazon) yes they are sticky, not overly, but they work, i do not have to worry about my lips. LOVE them!! I guess i will have to try Glossier.
I also love lip balm and I would recommend bondi sands coconut lip balm spf50+ it contains tinosorb s and its available in Europe and Australia. It doesn’t feel like sunscreen, there’s also a regular no spf version. Loved the video ❤️

For nighttime I use nipple cream/balm! 🙈 really saves my lips in the winter months here in Norway. + it’s so much cheaper and you get a lot of product.

You listed Petrolatum in the Aquaphor's ingredients but it doesn't have one.

Have you ever tried the Rohto Mentholatum lip balm with SPF 25? The milky vanilla is great and no sunscreen/artificial taste. Smooth texture, super moisturizing, highly recommend!
I love Bite Beauty's Agave Lip Mask. I think it's top tier. Not sticky and stays put.
Aveda Lip Saver is amazing and lasts all night. I also like Dr. Bronner's Naked Organic Lip Balm which Target now sells.

I’m a lover of Carmex, dollar tree’s chap relief medicated lip protectant, Blistex, Raw sugar lip balm (light, packaging is amazing), Glossier’s Balm Dot Com, and Laniege sleep mask ( very drying when it wears off though).
The Kissu lip mask and the lanegie glows balms have been in and out of my basket for the past 2 months, but I’m sold now!! Btw, you’ve gotta try to wild fig balm dot com if you haven’t already. The most divine, decadent, elevated scent thus far. I’m going to stockpile them since they’re limited edition (🥺)

I love the biossance rose vegan lip balm because it’s more of a humectant you can put a thicker one ontop of it and it’s perfect I just feel like it really hydrated your lips and gets in there rather than just sitting ontop. I also love paw paw ointment as more of an occlusive lip balm pawpaw is also gently exfoliating so it can also help exfoliate some dead skin off the lips
I like a thick balmy one too! A nice vanilla scent is also appreciated!

I really like something to last overnight and throughout the day, I love the idea of that lip balm that changes for each person. I can't remember the specific company that did that. I like a scent but not at night. The thicker the better unless it's a gloss I don't want something sticky throughout the night. I want something that really makes my lips pop but that it could possibly be natural. I think basically I'd want a lip mask at night that is super thick and barrier/hydrating. And I'd wear more of a laneige style during the day, but I guess I'm not really a gloss girl unless it's not all sticky.
I just came across my Glossier original the other day. I hadn’t used it in months as soon as I put it on again I remembered how much I loved it. I’ve been using a whole lot of other lip balms in that time so when I put this on again nothing compares. We don’t get it I Aust. So I have to use a third party delivery system to get it. EBay charge nearly $40.00 AUD. The original flavour first for me then the Cherry with a bit of a tint.
ByTerri!!! Love this lux line. I have this balm in my car, they don't mention the SPF anymore, but it used to have it. Love the slightly pearl-pink tone.
I recently picked up Equate Advanced Healing Ointment for $3.00 at 1.75 ounces, a Eucerin/Aquaphor ointment dupe in Walmart. It works really well overnight. During the day I use Alba Organics spf 25 in a bullet, but I'm sure I'd like the Jack Black very much. I don't like putting my fingers in pots.
my favorite lip balms are sol de Janeiro , summer Fridays, laniege, glossier, fresh caramel !
With the many type of lip balm my favorite is the lancome precious cells. Its 50$ but it is perfect and actually soaks into my lips. It has the rose smell. Also the chanel lip balm is awesome for dehydrated or lips that are cracked and sore. However the chanel one is the same price. Following those are drunk elephant, and farmacy. I like thinner texture lip balm for day time and slightly thicker at night such as the lip mask.
My all time favorite is Eucerin lip active 🥰

I’ve been really enjoying the L’aneige lip mask pretty well. (I’m trying to work my way through all of my lip balms/masks), but I think my favorite will always be Bite’s nighttime lip therapy. I don’t like beeswax in my lip balms and while I like how occlusive petrolatum is, it never seems to hydrate well. The Bite Beauty balms just all seem to genuinely hydrate my lips.
Summer fridays lip butter balm is my all time favorite
