To celebrate the release of DC’s new film, Suicide Squad, we’ve created a tutorial around the infamous Harley Quinn, played by Margot Robbie. Alex will talk you through how to chalk your extensions to achieve Harley Quinn’s iconic mismatched bunches without the commitment. She’ll also show you how to create a more wearable version of her makeup look.

Hi Annie Fofanny, glad you liked the video! It's pretty tricky to lighten dark brown hair temporarily, even with bleach it can be difficult to achieve platinum blonde straight away and it usually involves highlift bleach and toner. It might be worth considering using a hair piece or wig if you want a temporary blonde look. Hope this helps a little!

I have blonde hair and I really want to use hair chalk to colour my hair like Harley Quinn but, I need it to wash out with one wash because I will have school the next day. Does the hair chalk stain blonde hair after one wash, or does it come out completely??

Hi Sammy, to be honest it does depend on your hair. Some hair is naturally more porous and sucks up any colour that goes on. If your hair is bleached this will also make it more porous so there is a slight risk it could need a couple of washes. Perhaps you could try doing a strand test on a small section of hair from underneath where it won't be seen much. Then wash it out and see if it comes out straight away. Hope that helps!
