aight but fr now, i'm no expert in this progam either, i started using it in the mid of last year and two months ago had the idea of making this vid just for the sake of doing it while sharing a bit of what i learned so far cause you just don't see many tutorials for these type of animations on the progam (not that i know of at least lol)

im sorry there's a few things here i could've explained a lot better or at least used a more simple and efficient method but when i made this there was still a lot of stuff i was unfamiliar with (and tbh there still is..) i wish i could edit those parts out lol but hey, if enough people are interested, maybe i can start planning an updated version of this vid and perhaps show how to do other funky stuff that took me some neurons to figure out.
im no expert but i still hope i can help those artists that are fighting for the lives trying to make something as simple as a tweened chibi LMAO i see yall, i hope i can figure out how to make proper YCH bases too til then OTL

ok i think i had that when i was starting, are you clicking the keyforms on the parameter? the little green circle
if you don't, you'll just deform the object but it wont move or 'change' you can try doing it without deformers too and just move the piece itself, i didn't specify that on the vid but it works fine
