Saw them at the Playhouse Theatre in Winnipeg where they co-headlined with Toronto. A few years later saw them at Hagar's Rock Club, again in Winnipeg, for their comeback tour (after Greg's wife ran over his foot with the station wagon). Then the years of them playing the Black Knight in the 'Peg, and later the Diamond Club. Bought all their albums and brought their music out to my relatives in N. Ontario. Because the greatness of Goddo must be shared. Greg, Gino, Doug, Marty, I and my friends, family and cohorts have been with you all the way. Cock on!
i saw them at the playhouse theatre. it must have been the late 70s. i feel like Moxy was the warmup band in that instance. i had supposed that goddo had played at the playhouse only once, but that must not be true (because i definitely have never seen the band Toronto). i had no idea Goddo were playing the bars in good ol' winnipeg.
I've felt lucky to have enjoyed the music I got to grow up with, these guys were a local bar band in my youth. Glad you enjoyed, I try to put the best quality audio I can into anything I upload.
Heard Greg on FM CFNY radio being interviewed in 70s. They played this song and I thought wow. He said they were playing that weekend at Gasworks in Toronto. Drove up with g/f from St. Cath and what a great show!
yep yep I enjoyed their playing many moons ago in a bar called spats across from woodbine race track. It was a night to remember and I always will. One of those "you had to be there" evenings.
I was 17 going to highschool, working part time..ridinding my xt500 thumper..playing football hockey..missing my mother who passed away 2 years earlier...good times not so good times..life is short
I have been going to see Greg and the boys since I was 15 years old and they were the regular bar band at the Gasworks on Younge St in Toronto.... now whenever they are within 50 miles, I try to make it.... Just last spring in Niagara Falls.... they still got it!!!!..... and realized so do I....
I consider myself to be so lucky to have grown up with this great band! I remember seeing them for the first time in Sudbury Ont. with Max Webster in like '76, man they rocked the house down. I still get chills listening to this song, thanks for sharing!
@wescoaster62 .... this tune is a trip down memory lane for me too, a friend of mine had a 69 Charger that hosted a few good times. I am astounded I made it much past 20 as I had an passion for fast motorcycles, sadly quite a few of my friends never made it.
Westcoaster62, Yeah the memories, I had a 455 H.O. Pontiac, Posi-Trac and of course a 4 Barrel with Dual Exhaust. Back in the early 70's it would take a 440 Magnum Charger to keep up with me ! lol Oh well, it was either me or the car. Somehow I outlasted it ?? Always feel lucky to be Alive !!! Lots of Tales.
remember the old bars in scarboro, westy,i used to bounce at the falcons nest, forresters,in the town centr there was a disco, and don't forget turtle jacks, used to bounce there to,if anybody remembers those places, jump in here.used to bounce down at the latin quarter on don mills and eglington.i used to go to bendale, thats why you will notice all the spelling errors.peace out.

Credit to Burnell Henry for introducing me to Goddo. I was 15 years old. Van Halen Meat Loaf, Elvis Costello. The album was "Who Cares" about 3 months later I went on a shopping excursion with my family, and found the first album (It looks like an expolding volcano)--- ---and there goes my baby (*and I really really love her)...- - - and this song too
Incredible Song! ( so jam along, it's in E Mixolydian - to cheat, take E minor and raise it a whole step - because with that jazzy, suspended feel - you know you want to ;)
