I went to Winter Jam 2015 with my dad and brother. That was the year that Skillet performed. Afterwards I got an arm splint signed by John Cooper. That was the happiest moment of my life and I could say the same for my dad. Fast forward to March 23rd of the following year, and my dad passes away due to a brain tumor that went completely unnoticed until it was too late. I don't have either of my parents anymore. All I could do was listen to this band to keep from crying in public for the next three months. With all that said, I'd like to thank the band themselves and Cole for recreating this masterpiece.

Ah man... I'm so sorry. I was Winter Jam 2014, too. (Probably not the same as yours). Skillet's performance was astounding, and I know what an impact they've had on me. My wife had lost her Mom to cancer two years before that. She relied on Skillet a lot, too.
I really hope you find peace and that the pain hurts less and less each day. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Comatose is still their best album imo. I felt like Unleashed was a little empty, it left us wanting a bit more. But it's hard to write songs based on the same topics, so now is getting harder. Skillet is always about inspiration and so much passion. Skillet is love, Skillet is life.
