  • Nissan GTR T-SPEC Review. The Nissan GTR R35 has been out since 2007 and has been a proven platform for tuners and racers worldwide to be one of the most capable cars for race duty. In 2021-2024 Nissan introduced a T Spec version with Twilight Purple color shifting paint as shown in this video and a Jade Green version. All T-Specs come with wider front fenders, carbon fiber roof, carbon ceramic brakes, RAYS lightweight Forged Alloys in gold a cool green and alcantara interior trim.This car still uses the hand built 3.8 V6 Bi Turbo with AWD and the Borg Warner DCT and Bilstein Adaptive suspension. Come along for the video and drive of the Nissan GTR T Spec. This car is so mechanical and analog it will make your heart race with anxiety when you experience it on an open stretch of road. Granted it lacks modern tech and is old by age but this is still a relevant and highly capable performance car that will smoke supercars costing twice as much still in 2024. This is the last of the breed and considering the rarity and high resale value there is a reason these cars are so high in demand. Thanks for watching and stay tuned as i may purchase one to replace my Alfa Romeo QV.

    Nissan is producing a 2025 GTR, T-spec and Nismo. They state the 25 T-spec and Nismo will have a more snappy engine. Not sure what improvements will be with the internals.
    I was planning to get a 24 T-spec till Nissan did the press release for a 25. I have sat in the T-spec and love the green interior. Thanks for your insightful review as always.

      @@autofanaticcars I agree the Nismo is wild yet I like you feel the T-spec is the best choice. The GTR weak spot is brakes and the T-spec solves that. I also love the T-spec is a below radar GTR in that if you know you know. Just like the Mercedes GT-R. Which I am keeping any eye out for a convertible one in the colors I prefer.

      @@MrT_RainMan The best below radar is perhaps the 2020 NISMO Track Edition. It´s. NISMO without the spoiler basically.

    Formerly lived in Jersey. Assume that the tinted window regulations are similar to NY. Was recently back in Jersey. I now live in Texas. Very common when buying a new car here in Texas for the dealer to deliver the car with seriously tinted windows. I asked a Jersey State Trooper if I were to drive my Texas registered car with “Texas Window Tint” back to Jersey, would the “Texas Window Tint” be a legal issue in Jersey. The Trooper told me that if the car was legal in Texas, it would be legal in Jersey with the tinted windows. I’m not a layer, but taking a guess that the various states would or should respect the regulations of the other states - otherwise we would have “interstate chaos”. Happy motoring 🇺🇸🤠

    Autofanatic, I love you videos, thank you for all the content, especially your green AMG GTR, and this review. I let go of a CT5V Blackwing back in November. Time for a new fun car. Between the Mercedes GTR, and Nissan GT-R. I haven’t driven either one yet. Which one would you go with? Thank you!

    • @autofanaticcars
      @autofanaticcars  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Thanks both GTR are incredible machines and so different it depends what your looking for the Nissan is king in straight line speed but AMG is incredible in corners and feels more like a true track car. What didnt you like on the Blackwing was it just the sheer size? The M5 Cs is incredible but the carbon seats are very uncomfortable to live with. The AMG has higher quality interior all around and a very unique engineering platform of exotic materials. The AMG is also several hundred pounds lighter

    • @dmitri___8911
      @dmitri___8911 Před 2 měsíci

      Thanks for the reply! I bought a new to me 2022 ct5V
      Blackwing with 9K miles as a fun commute car. But I did it in late October. I am a fisherman and have to drive almost 3 hours from Maine to New Hampshire. So when it started to snow, I realized how bad of an option Blackwing was with 668 hp and rear wheel drive although Michelin Pilot sport 4s did impress me in a couple of sleet days. I had a ram TRX as a family car which I left for my wife to drive. So after Blackwing gave me an uneasy feeling spinning out on crappy Maine roads, I went out and traded it for another TRX. A couple months ago I traded my first one the one that wife was driving for a GLE 63 S -> a much better family car. So now I am still driving my Sandblast TRX and Mercedes when I am home from a fishing trip, but for summer/fall I want something fun again. Gt-r is appealing because of the all wheel drive and tuning potential and Mercedes because it is refined and classy and I love the pops and bangs. Blackwing felt like a small car and had an awful grip despite great tires. I’m not sold on gt-r’s outdated tech. Having owned GLE 63s, I’m in love with all the premium features. And that’s where I’m leaning more towards the Mercedes. But Nissan is so fast and in case I’m caught in bad weather, it will still get me places. Oh man, what a tough choice!

    Ive always wanted to drive one of these.... The problem with cars this fast is exactly that though.. they're just so fast that by the time you put your foot down, you have to already take your foot off. Im caught between the notion whether that's more fun, or a Mazda Miata and being able to RING the engine out.

    Phil, do you find with these AMG, Nissan GTR’s, M5CS, GT4RS of the world that having a sports car with a manual doesn’t need to be a high priority as it used to be?

    • @autofanaticcars
      @autofanaticcars  Před 2 měsíci +2

      Manual is best suited for a great NA motor GT3, GT4 Shelby GT350R etc because these turbo and supercharger engines are so damn fast youll never be able to shift quick enough. I would never want my AMG GTR jn a manual or the Nissan GTR no way

    They actually built a decent amount of R35s over a 15yr span... so there is a good amount of them. You can easily find used examples for $60-70k..which is still not bad considering what they sold for, but not 100k

    • @autofanaticcars
      @autofanaticcars  Před 2 měsíci +2

      Me personally would not buy any performance type car used with high mileage most in 60-70 range fall into that category. These newer models are much more refined than the earlier ones
