Helpful tip as a native English speaker, the easiest way I remember how to use this verb properly is to think of it as "to possess something" instead of to have which is too broad and conflicts in your mind with haber
Good one! Thanks a lot! =)
La queja (complaint). Es mas demasiado RIPIDO !😡. (MUCH TOO FAST !!) 🤕 🤢 😷 🤢 🤕 !!
~Gracious Senorita~ {{💃🕺}}
That was so helpful. The hardest part about learning Spanish as a native English speaker is the cultural deference in the way we apply different verbs and pronouns
If you speak Caribbean English, then it's very easy to get used to.
We already use "I have" for age
eg. I have 4 years
and "it makes/it's making" for weather
eg. It's making hot today
No tenia ni idea que puedo usar "te tengo" para decir "I have for you". Such an easy shortcut. All this time I've been saying "Tengo...para ti".
I'm very glad it was useful Christopher! =)
I love your enthusiasm. I hope it's catching
I really really appreciate all the different shots, with different clothes and props, etc. Tú eres increíble!
Thanks so much Reza! =)
Especially love the format of this video. Super informative and helpful. Saved to come back to.
Thank you a lot of this video!!!
Could you please explain what's the difference between Tengo clases de matematicas and llevo classes de matematicas?
A better rendering of tener en cuenta would be to bear in mind. First time on the channel. Enjoyable. My Spanish is pretty good but I struggle with reading the likes of a novel or a newspaper article.
For te tengo I would say I have....for you. Les tengo una noticia importante. I have importante news for you.
Excellent examples and multiple uses of tener. Ah, but you left one out! "Tengo la camisa negra"! 😀
Me tienes tan fa-fa-fa-fa-fa-fa-fa-fa-fascinado
Great video. Thank you 👍🏽
It doesn't hurt to conjugate verbs. In fact it helped me.
good
Very helpful video. Thank you!!
Muy buena explicación. Tengo que darte las gracias
Gracias.
Disiento contigo. Sooner they get it - sooner they will be able to use it
That's how I learned it but I guess it depends on your learning style. I do think that memorisation is valuable though. It's just not fashionable anymore. As far as I know it's still widely used in places like China.
=) Puedes tener varias favoritas, jaja.
I live in Oaxaca, but no most of the stuff. Still, I find it interesting & informative. It's like a little review.
*know
That was the idea! Thanks for watching! =)
But KNOW most of the stuff ...
Your English is perfect :)
The video was all over the place trying to sell “chunks” ..
Very confusing if you are learning Spanish .
Thanks a lot! About the chunks, that's our method. Meaning, we focus on word combinations more than grammar rules and the like. =)
I'm crazy for spanglish!
❤️🌹
👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Very useful video, but if "tener" is used for "ser" for non-physical "things" why do we say "estás triste?" and not "tienes triste?"
It's uncanny how similar all of this is to polish... 🤯
Buenos dias y feliz viernes!
Orgullo de ser español 😈👌
Why don't you put the form vosotros teneis ? even if you don't use it in latin America.
Voseo actually *is* used in many Latin American countries. (Look up voseo on Wikipedia for the full list.) Idk why most Spanish teaching channels avoid it.
@@roxyiconoclast thanks for the tip, I'll look into it.
@@roxyiconoclast I believe Voseo refers to the pronoun "vos" and not vosotros.
And Im pretty sure only spain actually uses vosotros
If this is for learning Spanish, why are you talking so slowly when talking in English, but talking fast when in Spanish? It should be the other way round.
You realize she's mutually using the same speeds in both languages right..
@@Lylantz 9:00 and 9:54 for example. If you find that easy to follow, maybe this course is designed for you. Just not for beginners.
@@greenjelly01 I mean if one is a beginner and 90% of the video is slow Spanish and there's 10% where it's fast and with subtitles, I think that's a good thing. Might as well start getting accustomed to the "fast" speech whenever you can
I thought Spanish relies on the context and you need not say yo tengo because tengo will mean I have....
Right! You can skip the "yo" almost always in Spanish. Including here. =)

What is hard in Spanish, portuguese and Galician is to be = estar e ser. An American gets confused
honestly its not that hard when you get the hang of it.
Our brains are made to recognize patterns and implement them
@@kimaya.3563 when i learned English it used to be so weird, because the verb to be means three verbs in my language - ser, estar ou ficar
@@youtubbeisshit vc e do brasil? legal
@@kimaya.3563 yes! Sim! Rs
Well, if we're going to Spanlish the mierda out of everything, we can just mix and match the language as if we never learned to read and write!
