  • This is the entire wave from the very initial hint that it starts until my death.
    You get 1.5 seconds for the wave to start to appear before you're one shot.
    This is 60 frames per second.
    The first track (outside the arena) starts to appear at Frame 0.
    The first wave (inside the arena) starts to appear at Frame 30.
    The first track (inside the arena) starts to appear at Frame 67.
    The other waves start to appear at Frame 85.
    I start to move at Frame 67.
    I'm dead at Frame 90.
    The first issue here is that the tracks outside the arena are a gradient change, and very difficult to notice.
    The second issue is that you're most likely going to be fighting enemies where the first wave starts to appear, and ground effects can obscure the wave.
    The average human reaction time is roughly 250ms (15 frames), and then you have to add a delay of network latency (I average about 100ms, or 10 frames), along with any display latency.
