- The fashion industry is filled with scandals. Some of them are not exactly earth-shattering. But others are not only disturbing but also outright scary. In this video, I tried my best to rank some of the biggest scandals of the past 3 decades. Even though almost all of these were pretty bad, I thought it would be nice to pick the worst out of a bunch of "worsts". Hope you enjoy it!

6:44 "What the fashion?" Are you serious? Direct violence against an employee and all you have to say is "What the fashion?" That poor woman was assaulted. Be it any other person than Naomi, they'd be in jail
Let's not forget that she took blood diamonds from an African dictator. Um, Naomi, did you give those gems back to the people who sweat blood to grind them out of the earth? And my wedding rings are from recycled stones, not diamonds, so don't come at me, lol.
Exactly
Dior and their $57 bag for which they charge $2800. Once again, marketing and snob appeal has duped the consumers --- only because we allow it. An item is not of superior quality just because they tell you it is.
Love this video! I would love a deep dive video on Karen Mulder and her scandals. I strongly felt that the media and powerful people swept everything under the rug and made her seem crazy. Thank you so much ❤❤ I'm a recent subscriber
Very interesting video, hope for a dive video into Balenciaga ❤
Yes 😊
Honesty about the D&G scandal about same sex stuff I’m fine with it(call me homophobic still bad but it’s tame compared to Dior labor scandal)
I agree that there are opinions, and then there are "opinions" -- see poor unfortunate John Galliano. We have lost sight of the fact that people can have opinions that we disagree with, but that does not make them monsters. You might disagree with me, and I with you, but we owe each other civility as human beings. We don's have to patronize each others' businesses, sure, but no one should be unable to earn a living because of an opinion. Actions are a different story. Mssr. Galliano's statements made clear that he would neither hire certain people nor promote their creative talents. That is a whole different ball game.
To be honest fashion is still going through the worse, especially with the rise of baggy pants ant tims , tims was a trend in the 90,20 and 2010s the 1950 ,60s,70s ,80 mixed with 90s and were a thing in 2010s and then it continues 2020s . We need to evolve.
There is NOTHING wrong with ANYONE, literally anyone should be able to wear dreads (gross) or braids...seriously. That's like saying black people shouldn't straighten their damn hair because let's be honest, it's not their "culture" or whatever. Everyone is SO damn sensitive it's ridiculous! It's just hair. I'm gen X, maybe that's why nothing bothers me except for highly sensitive and easily offended big babies ffs lol
4:15 Isn't Karen Mulder Dutch though?
The whole cultural appropriation thing is getting a little old. Fashion is supposed to be eclectic, creative and fun. You borrow from here you borrow from there and put your own twist on it. This is what designers do. If you don’t like it don’t buy it. I think to many the scandal is buying bag for 40K when you can find a high-quality duplicate bag for $300 or $200, or even less than that.
S tier for blurring two antisemitic words when drunk and privacy invaded and harassed by those girls and C tier for direct violence leading to injury against a servant? I would lie if I say it doesn’t trigger me. Maybe you should rethink your decisions.
No, being drunk is not an excuse, don’t bother. But it’s not that he actively propagated an ideology in public nor was he the one to start the harassment. It was disgusting and deplorable and stupid, also a huge PR offense to the brand you represent, but not instant jail while you consider employee assault a „What the fashion?’
