    If this was just the first 10 seconds looping over and over again, I would have mistaken it for a 2a03 chiptune. That triangle wave is unbelievably accurate.

      Now all I want is him to tell us that it's not a PCM sample.

      It's FM. It's more a slightly flat peaked Sine with overtones than a Triangle. It's also stepped like the NES Triangle.

      Yeah, the beginning of the song leads you to think Nintendo and then all of a sudden you're hit with blast processing that Nintendon't.

    I always wondered if the Genesis could fake a NES-style triangle wave using a sine wave. Now that I've heard it, mind blown.

    Gorgeous. Those understated arps were a beautiful touch. I wish more Genny music were like this.

    Good cover as usual though! Bloodpool/boss themes were the greatest of jams for the original---though with it being Koshiro, all of it was a given good~

    At the start, it sounds like an NES triangle wave as bass

    Man, would love to hear your version of "Fillmore"'s themesong :D. You usually don't disappoint at all :). Ohw ait you did, lol, just found it. Ooh sounds awesome. :D.
    Question: If you'd do it today? Would you redo anything about it? :)

    The first little bit sounds so NES, heh. :P

    • @AzureQuality
      @AzureQuality Před 5 lety

      It uses the 8-bit sound chip used in the Sega Genesis, perferably I would say it's the master systems sound chip.

      Perhaps, yeah. The Master System’s PSG for the lead, and one of the Genesis’ FM channels as the triangle-like bass, heh.
