What is your smallest hoya? (in terms of leaf-size, not dying plants or cuttings 😅)
Mine is serpens and she behaves very well in my conditions. I would describe it as an easy care and fast growing plant
@@dianamcedenovaldes5828 I think you are probably the only one that would say that for serpens 😂
Mine is pyrifolia! Like 1/3 the size of a serpens leaf!
Mine is microphylla and Miro is keeping it safe 💜
my smallest is a tie between serpens and curtisii thailand form
both are quite easy, especially serpens it has so many peduncles and i have no idea how...
Please show all of them😂💚
😅 We’ll see 😁
Yay! I love a good Miro video on a Sunday morning! 💚🍀
💚💚💚
5 new Hoyas 🙌 😅
Hoyas are plants I love but you are a dedicated lover of Hoya lol
Thank you Miro for your good video
Thank you for watching ❤️
I'm up to 5 hoyas! 🎉
I'm taking care of one for a friend, but I'm propagating a cutting so I'm at 5ish.
Hoya carrii is a real gem!
She really is 😍
H. serpens is a wonderful small-leaved Hoya - if you're joining the Hoya bandwagon, then serpens should be in your first five. Long live Hoya serpens!
It is wonderful, but can be quite temperamental 😬
I love to see one show just ..
hoya Lacunosa's.
It was a thrill to see these small leaves and hear your thoughts on each one. Thank you!
I realized I could have added so many more :D I guess an update on my hoya collection needs to come soon!
@@BasiePlants I can’t wait to see what you do next with a dedicated cabinet filled with all the small leafed Hoyas. I really love the look of Mathilde and Curtisii, at least these two have done well for me.
There you are hun. Sub for you! Always glad to help another plant person. And I offer this to you, like anyone who likes plants. Im willing to give or trade plants any time!
I get sooo excited when I see your new videos come up!!!!!!!!!💚😻💚
All beautiful!! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for watching!
hoya carrii looks like a velvet leaved anthurium! so cuteeee adding to my wishlist!
You won't be disappointed! :)
I really enjoyed your small leaves hoya video. I tend to gravitate towards small leaf hoyas.,I have the carri as well and it has to be one of my favorites. I have not seen the microphylla before and will be on the hunt for it. Thank you for sharing your hoyas and your growing experiences with us.
I really love them too :) A lot of the big leaved hoyas make very small flowers, and a lot of the small leaved ones have bigger flowers than the big leaved ones! So they are clearly winners! I hope you find microphylla 💚
Breathtaking hoyas! 💚
Thank you 💚
You have lovely Hoya carii eyes! ; )
And you have my favorite Hoya channel! ♡
Hahaha :D 💚💚💚
Will eventually need that microphylla 💚😍🍃
I hope you can find one 💚
Curtisii💚🌱🤗 Yes, the Carrii does remind me of Micans...
She is really cute
Love the video. Great information since I am a Hoya newbie.
Welcome
Thank you for another great video, Miro.
Thank you for watching 💚
Thanks for the video. Great Hoyas. 😍
Thank you :)
Thank you Miro. ❄️💚🙃
Thank you for watching 💚
Thanks. I love small leaved Hoyas.
Me too! :D
Love you Basie.❤
💚
Thank you. I appreciate you keeping us up-to-date on new hoyas and how you rate them for their growing habits. It is always interesting to hear about hose that are seemingly easier to get in Europe vs the US. Regardless, we are entering another brutal week of cold here on the north shore of Lake Superior, but I plan on using the time to clean up my hoyas.
PS Probably Lacunosas are probably my smallest. Though the teeny one you showed is one I have. Not a fan of it!
Microphylla is my favorite little leafed because I love those blooms! Yum yum!! I wish I had one.......I'm going to ear some cake now.
Eating cake sounds great 😂 I hope you can find microphylla soon :)
Always find and eat cake first! 😂
Excellent, thank you.
You are welcome :)
my smallest hoya is my mathilde. not only is it a small leaved variety, but it is a one leaf specimen! I fear it may not have a good growing node left. but this one leave has been around for well over a year so I keep watering her!
Oh you will have a good growing Mathilde one way or the other! Mine is growing really well 😁
H carrii is magnificent. Lovely video as usual. On the request front - I would love to see a video focussing on hoyas with 'waterfall' leaves. I have a H. samoensis with this growth habit and would love to learn about others.
Yes, I love her a lot 💚 Do you mean hanging hoyas that make a nice cascade? :)
@@BasiePlantsExactly!
Could you list the 5 smallest leaved hoyas? I want to grow some small leaved hoyas on a few bonsai.
I just recently got an anncajanoae. Never had heard of it or seen it around. Definitely recommend. At first glance it looks like wayetii but it's aff burtoniae fuzzy.
Oh nice! That one has been on my wishlist for a moment but I always pass it up for another hoya. I hope to add it soon!
@@BasiePlants I'm just getting back into small leaf Hoyas after getting my heart broken by the serpens. Definitely will look for tengchongensis after you showing yours. You always have me adding Hoyas onto my wishlist!!!
The waterfall Hoya looks like it’s going to have larger leaves
Still on the hunt for the hoya carrii. It’s not that easy to find here in the US, and only saw one on Etsy for almost 200 😮.
Oh really? The price dropped for it in EU. You can find it here for as low as 50 euros.
Going to purchase my mandatory five now! 😂😂
Hahaha :D Get some good ones! 😄
@@BasiePlants picked up a vitellinoides and a globulosa locally! pot of gold and Griffith I are on the way😂…. I want the Mauna Loa 🤞🏾
@@carlag7060 I am proud of your choices! Those are some very nice hoyas to start with :D And a great variety too!
@@BasiePlants thanks Miro! And thanks for taking the time to respond to the comments. I am learning so much from you and I find your content educational and funny! Thank you 🪴
Not too long ago I received a lacunosa with ovate and curled-tipped leaves with a silken sheen viewed from certain angles. Unfortunately, the plant had been clipped for cuttings, so there is still no new shoot. How in love am I with the Hoya Microphillia? I'll scoop one for sure if I've the chance. Nice to see such vigorous plants, thank you.👌
That sounds like a very interesting lacunosa! Do you know where it was collected or do you have any additional info? (descriptor, accession number, etc?) I hope you can get Hoya microphylla. It is really pretty in person, there are some characterestics of the leaf that are visible in person but my camera lens cannot capture. :)
@@BasiePlants Not a crumb of information came with the plant, and found pictures online (along with the plant-finder app) which most correspond with the little beauty which is perky and ready for spring. The camera photographed the microphilla well enough for my eye - it is the sweetest vine. It makes my dischidia ovata look large.😎
My favorite is the lacunosa durian perangin ( got it from Betsy 😁). I think that it's the same as the lacunosa langkawi island since the waterfall is located on this island
I agree :) I love it a lot! It seems not a lot of other people care so much because it is a lacunosa 😅
🦋🦋🦋
my carrii also arrived badly even though the shipping was like 1 day. It became a wet stick basically... But it survived! Maybe it travels better when it is rooted?
Mine was rooted and it arrived badly :D But then, mine also had to travel for 6 days in 40 degree weather. I wonder if that is why.
This was fun, but that tiny H.macrophylla is just scary…I’ll watch you grow it, less agita !! 🌿😂
Oh I have a small curtsii and a lacunosa…after 3 months they’re alive but sulking 🌱
It is scary a bit, I admit :D
I hope they pick up soon
Unfortunately, so far i only have hoya burtoniae. Really wanted a regular, non "hindu rope" non variegated hoya carnosa, but still cant find one. Had to just settle on burtoniae....
🤩
14:24 do you have an update on carrii? I killed my first one 🙈🙈🙈. Ready to buy another and can't find a lot of care information
I love my engleriana. I had it less than a year and it's already trying to flower for the second time. I don't have it but I also want to try out vaccinifolium.
Both vaccinioides and engleriana (I have aff.engleriana) are wonderful hoyas :) Both bloomed for me and the flowers are very much like Hoya bella. :)
@@BasiePlants lol, I was close
Durian perangin waterfall is located in langkawi island. The 2 might be the same.
Yes, I say that at 5:45 :) They are most likely the same.
Heyy miro! At first i want to tell you that i really enjoy watching your video’s. I had just 1 question😋. Where did you get your self watering small pots ? (The ones i saw in this video). Lovely greetings!
Thank you :) My friend Alex 3D prints those pots :)
That’s awesome! There’s no way he sells these pretty pots maybe? Haha. Maybe another question added... but do you sell plants/cuttings too? I dont have any social media besides yt😝. So i did not know if you did or not.
@@BasiePlants does your friend consider selling his pots or the print-code? I love love love the pots. Perfect size and pretty 😍
@@lindak7251 Hello Linda! This is the link to the print: www.printables.com/model/381476-small-self-watering-plant-pot
@@BasiePlants thank you! ❤
Where's your small square pots from? 🥰❤️🌱
My friend 3D prints them :)
Please ,where can i find those hoyas , give me the website ,thanks
Hi, Miro could you tell me were did you get your self-watering pots?
The small rectangular ones are 3D printed by my friend; larger ones are made by a company in Europe called Santino. :)
@@BasiePlants Thank you😁
Smallest Hoya Curtis but in volume probably Hoya Liners (long and skinny)
Curtisii is so cute 💚💚💚 I have yet to bloom it though 😂
My curtisii is always in the brink of death. 🤦🏻♀️
@Diana M Cedeno Valdes oh no xD It grows okay for me, it used to grow better though in higher light. It is on my hoya wall now and it's not its preference :D
Love H. sp.aff. engleriana Vietnam.
Yes, I have aff.engleriana too :D
Hoya chinghungensis
That one is very cute!
Hello where do you get your trellises?
I make them myself with rabbit fence :)
@@BasiePlants Thank you for the info!😁
Looks pretty different to me....
Hi Miro. Thanks for sharing. Am a beginner caring for hoyas so I feel these small leaf hoyas are ones that I will have to wait to purchase until I’m more confident. 🇦🇺🇦🇺🫶🫶
They are not so difficult at all :) But they do need more water than one would think :)
Don’t forget it’s 2023 😃. July of last year sounds better 😅
Yes :D This was recorded in late December 😅
@@BasiePlants ahh okay. So it’s correct lol
@@rickie12 well, I was planning to say last year 😂😂😂
@@BasiePlants yeah, I figured that. Love your videos. Think you should do videos on Sunday’s. Maybe a Sunday Hoya edition 😄
Hoyas are plants I love but you are a dedicated lover of Hoya lol
😅 Definitely Hoya addict over here 🫣
