- I normally do not upload videos that are readily available for sale, but this is such an exquisite representation of traditional country music - I could not resist. I put Larry's commercial and phone number at the end so I will think of this as a commercial for Larry. My wife and I were privileged to meet and spend time with Lang's father many years ago, when he and Linda were traveling with Reba McEntire. He later mailed me an unimaginable gift: a full cassette of Lang and Linda's recordings from their home studio. If you're interested, here's the URL to one of the songs, for which I created a video: • Tribute to Willard M. ...
Thanks to Dave Wollenberg for correcting me about the author of the song. Although I can't correct the scroll in the video, here are the facts about its origin, according to my Internet search:
The country singer Hugh Moffatt and songwriter Rosemary Patricia (Pebe) Sebert wrote this song in 1977 soon after they were married. Sebert came up with the title after encountering an old boyfriend. She came home, told Moffatt about it, and let him know he shouldn't worry, because "old flames can't hold a candle to you." Nevertheless, something soured, as Moffatt and Sebert separated in 1984. - Hudba
They sing so good together!!!!!
Always loved her voice!
@glenncheatham1320 Yes, and her husband also has a fine voice; he can bend those notes with the best. Here is a song you won't hear anywhere else, because Linda's father-in-law sent it to me from their home studio. To my knowledge they did not release it to the public. czcams.com/video/ssGbr23pCqM/video.html
Linda's voice is perfect for this song
Linda Davis has to be the most underrated, beautiful woman in country music & especially at her age. She is absolutely GORGEOUS! Imo she is a better singer than Hillary who gets so much praise. I haven't heard the other daughter but their momma has got em beat in the vocals & looks Department in my eyes.
Linda still looking as beautiful as ever.
Very good version of this song. Her husband sounded really good in his own right. Enjoyed it. Linda's talent is off the top shelf.

L D Has always been very underrated
I did a show in 1983 with Lang. It was "You can be a Star" in Nashville, Tenn. Them were good days. Ole boy can still sing.
Linda, is awesome, but I love Langs voice also. They compliment each other!

Linda, You and Lang are wonderful role models as artists and parents. Amy & I remember so well how gracious you two were when we were all working as artists and songwriters in the industry.
Here's to the parents of the next generation of good music. Keep on a steppin'
Meget flott og spesiell stemme hos Linda, love it
Linda is a great singer but her husband is awesome, effortless
sharon Herd: Be sure to watch the tribute I created to his late father: czcams.com/video/ssGbr23pCqM/video.html
Real country voice and down to earth!
Have always loved Lindas' voice.
Both of their voices blow me away! Wicked!
Linda is as good a singer as any female alive. And what a looker. Husband is good as well, but cant hold a candle to her.
That was great. Beautiful Singing and playing.
GREAT JOB ON A CLASSIC
One of my favs. Linda and Lang. Great harmony.
James Shelley: You might enjoy this song I posted; you won't hear it like this anywhere else - it was recorded in their home studio. czcams.com/video/ssGbr23pCqM/video.html

Hello Sue
How are you doing today?
I love Linda Davis and Lang Scott! They're a wonderful couple.
That was really quite excellent.👍👍🇨🇦
Fantastic!!
Love this song! They did a great job on it!
Brilliant.
Linda Davis has an awesome voice. I'm glad Reba insisted that she do the duet on "Does He Love You".
wizpopr: I used a few seconds of that video in my tribute to Linda's deceased father-in-law. It is at about 1:35 here: czcams.com/video/ssGbr23pCqM/video.html
I would bet Linda made her own choices during her career, best for herself, her marriage, and her children. I certainly don’t think there is anything wrong with a career like Jeannie Seely or Connie Smith. These women are mainstays in Country music. Nothing to be ashamed of.
Listening again and again...and again. Haha! I love her voice. Great upload!
Thanks!
She is still beautyful, love to listen and watch . . .
Hello Theresa

Nanva thiam ve.
That was real pretty….
Wow Linda is such a fox
john blankenship: Indeed! Be sure to watch my other video (see the link in my uploader's comments) for some excellent photos of her at the end.
I guess I’m confused? She mentioned 2 daughters, and I thought Chris Scruggs was her son with one of Earls sons?
What Posterman: You should not be confused; they were talking about Linda and Lang's two daughters. Period.
Her daughters names are Hillary that sings with Lady Antebellum and Riley who works Tractor supply!

Mm
Actually, Dolly didn't write this 'un.
Dave Wollenberg: Thanks, Dave. You and maybe 3 other people in the world knew that. I confess that, because she is credited with writing 3,000 songs, I got into the habit of thinking she wrote everything she recorded. I will correct the search title, but we'll have to live with the error on the video scroll. CZcams may have a facility that would allow me to blank the error, but I'm too old to even investigate. Did you click on the URL I posted in my uploader's comments?
Dave Wollenberg: I just now looked at CZcams's documentation attending my upload, and thought you might be interested in seeing who owns the copyright. Ready? Copyright owners:

Oops! But I bet Dolly WISHED she wrote it!
I did not know that Hillary Scott was her daughter.
It's always killed me she never got the career she deserved. Her daughter benefited from her hard work which always bothered me. It might be sacrilegious to say but I actually think Linda has a better voice than Reba. It's sweeter. But bc they sound so similar and Reba has such a big personality Linda unfortunately got lost in the shuffle.
