That’s an important distinction that most people don’t understand.
I did a year and a half as a Pentecostal, and in that time, I didn’t see Jesus as some unapproachable figure that I had to reach through priests.
I saw Him as my best friend who shared my sense of humor and love for everything in the Universe. However, he was a friend that did nobody any wrong and was punished for all the wrongs that I did. It hurt to see him on the cross. So, I STROVE to be perfect so that he had fewer of my failings to be punished for; not so that I would be perfect.
Moreover, striving to emulate Him meant that I could be that much stronger to help others with some of their burdens, but not strong enough for ALL of their burdens. That was how I created opportunities to explain how I saw Jesus: not as a Savior, but as a friend.
Being Saved was a consequence of being His friend FIRST. That’s what acceptance is. That’s what every child strives for: acceptance; to have friends. The ONLY way to be saved was to ACCEPT Jesus.

It's honestly astonishing how many Jews are still waiting for a Messiah who's already come and paid the price they're waiting for. Christianity owes its very existence to Judaism, so I have a deep respect for Israel and her people. That said, it seems to me that if the Jews would compare the prophecies about the Messiah to the life of Jesus, they'd find an uncanny amount of similarities. There's no historical doubt that Jesus of Nazareth existed, so the next step is to study his life, compare it to chapters like Isaiah 53 and meditate on what those similarities mean. I just hope that God's Chosen People all find the completion of their faith someday. I'd love to be able to have a conversation like this someday!

October 16. This is the date to keep an eye on when it comes to Chinese politics.
This is the survival of the fittest again.
This has happened endless of times. From the fall of the Egyptian empire, run by Cleopattra, by the Roman empire, under the leadership of Caesar, to the Soviet Union.
History has shown us that a united power with self governing responsibilities is the more superior way to go, but not without a bloody fight.
The only way the West will come out victorious this time is if we manage to join forces with the Muslims.
We need to learn their history just like ours and understand that "Sunni" Muslim is closer to western values than anyone might think.
I sure hope all those WWII documentaries has taught us a lesson before it escalates beyond repair.
A war is by this point in time inevitable, the question is who strikes first and how long it takes to respond. Right now, there needs to be put in place a wartime leader. There is no going back from this.

I’d say it’s the exact opposite. Christianity places importance on the salvific properties of a man, while Judaism agrees with Ezekiel 18 where he says “no man shall die for another man’s sins”. Judaism places emphatic importance on the salvific properties of performing commandments (Mitzvot) personally.

High Respect to both Jordan and Ben. Jordan knew very well that Ben would not like what he has to say about Christianity but he said his truth and what he believes to be true in the most genuinely respectful manner while admitting he was treading on dangerous grounds as he knows that he has no control over how Ben would respond and Peterson didn't want to provoke anyone.

The expression can be found in Revelation 2 verse 9 and Rev. 3 verse 9. In both cases it's about people who according to the author falsely claim they are Jews. I assume falsely means that they don't live up to the standard they are supposed to. The New Testament uses the word Israelites for what we now would call a Jew. So who is precisely ment by the word Jews is not certain to me. But it's probably a group within the religious leadership, since Jesus mostly opposes people within the religious leadership (and people who use the temple for the pursuit of money) and not the common man or woman. So the Sanhedrin would be a very good possibility.

A huge difference is Christianity good works can't get you into their heaven. You must accept their messiah into your heart. In Judaism good works like charity, helping others, being good to children and elders and repenting from your mistakes will bless you forgiveness.
