Once you make your clone you'll need to put it far enough away from the original so that you can select it with the box tool. Select the entire clone and do Ctrl+U to ungroup and then with it still selected do Ctrl+G to regroup it. Your clone should now be it's own group. You have to make sure you've already calculated your preferred crash tolerances before doing this because you can't go back.

You want to make those groups. Select all of the polygons that make up the frame and press Ctrl+G to group them. Then select all the hinges that connect those polygons and group them. Then select all the hinges that connect the white joiners and group them. You need to do this so it's easier to move all those pieces at once.
select multiple objects by holding down Ctrl and clicking on them. Once you have them all selected you do Ctrl+G to group them. After that you can click on one object in the group and it selects the whole group.
The strength I used won't necessarily work for you. If your car is a different size it'll have different breaking strength, so just play around with it until you get it right.

Hello. I have a problem when 3:06 - 3:12. I can not "break" car, because even if a power one million (1000000) the car behaves in the same way and not be in breach. Can someone help me? I use version 5.28beta.
make sure you're in advanced mode and that you're changing impulse break limit. And if it doesn't work you don't want to increase the break limit. you want to lower it. 1,000,000 is too high for anything to break.

so they can act like fixates. You don't have breakable fixates in phun, so using 3 hinges ensures it's still a little rigid.

Hold right click and spin until rotated the way you want.
If you mean the breaking strength, then yes you have to change the impulse break limit. 3:09 is where you should edit your breaking strength.

@killertijn Your frame parts might be too close together, try removing the hinges and spacing out the frame parts and see if that works.

Chances are you didn't use three hinges for each joint to keep it steady. That's all I can think of.
