Another wilderness trip in northern Minnesota's Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness nested within the Superior National Forest. This trip we entered John Lake and Came out on Pine Lake. There was snow on the portages and ice on some of the bays. Not much traffic for this time of year we only saw two other camps occupied the entire trip.
We had a new canoe the Wenonah Advantage in Graphite UL with no float tanks and wood inwales. A very fast and straight tracking boat but a little tippy. We did take a little swim on day 3 which I talk about in part 2.
