    *Explanation*
    Ohh.... brothers ! Thanks for reacting the song ! Actually I am so excited to comment that this song is one of the best creations of the band. The song is created on a strong theme. Yes it's against 'Victim Blaming' which is a burning question now in the world. A movement was started in Europe against victim blaming and they stated that victim blaming was first set up in greek mythology. So the music video is made on a mould of greek mythology. Long story short..... Medusa was abbused by Poseidon and she sought justice to the Gods. Athena punished her. She turned Medusa into a hideous hag, making her hair into writhing snakes and her skin was turned a greenish hue. Anyone who locked gaze with Medusa was turned into stone. It was her curse. She was exiled in a dark island. But when Hades released Kraken to destroy the world Perseus, the son of Zeus, A demi- God who lived in the earth, took the responsibility to save the world. In that spot there was no way to stop Kraken. Then Perseus went to the Medusa's den and beheaded her. When he put the head in front of Kraken, it was turned into stone and the earth was saved. The world knows Medusa as an evil but actually it was a 'Victim Blaming' . There was a sculpture of perseus holding the severed head of Medusa in New York, Manhattan. But the 'Me Too' movement replaced that to a sculpture of Medusa holding the head of perseus to oppose the
    'Victim Blaming' and 'Sextual Abuse'. In the song 'Perfume' the lyric is so touchy and yearning that it can be actually felt by only who understands bangla 'Very Well' and use to read abstract bangla poems. They tried to express the pain of a burnt heart relating to many symbols in the surroundings and also empower the movement against abuses. They sacrificed a lil bit in lyric, tune, music and video. It was musically totally appropriate and one of the greatest songs of Shironamhin. In the video they turned the story. A girl who read the book of greek mythology and she was feeling the pain of Medusa and in the same time she imagined that Medusa was fighting back with Poseidon and beat him. Finally the girl got the perfume of Medusa's struggling heart to spread to the earth. That's the Explanation. The music was not catchy but way appropriate and perfection is obviously beautiful in it's way. Who are saying ot's not a good song they cudn't reach the root. You give it seven seriously. It's unmeasurable actually.... Ciao !

    I saw you guys really appreciating Meghdol and I mentioned that even until a couple of years ago, they were considered a hidden gem and were not so popular. Similarly the very first album of Shironamhin is also a similar hidden gem. It was probably their least commercially successful album and there were no music videos back in those days. But they had a different vocalist back then, called Tuhin, and had a Sarod player called Farhan, who was integral to their early compositions. And in my opinion, it is still there most artistically experimental and craftful album to date. Please do give that whole album a try. It's called Jahaji. From what I understood about your music taste by watching your reviews, you'll love that album.

    More accurate is "Titleless". 'Naam' or 'nam' means name in Bengali and 'Shironam' means title or heading.

    Shironamhin is such a Band that is famous mainly for its metaphorical lyrics. It is tough when you try to understand it from translation, it's more about a feeling.

    I have listened to this song a few times. I neither understood lyrics all together. Now I doubt myself whether I am a good listener. I don’t doubt Shironamhin for that. I assume this song as well will grow up in me.

    True.
    Many subtle emotions, feelings and most commonly 'Meaning' are 'Lost' in the 'Process of Translation' from one language to the other.
    Same is the case with you.
    However, love to see your Reaction videos as they seem to be 'Honest' to me.
    Carry on.
    Best wishes from Bangladesh.

    U will never get the same feeling translated, interpreted unless u know the language by heart. I personally don like their recent music. Their works with x-vocal Tuhin were way better and at least understandable for mass people. They write complicated lyrics which majority listeners cant relate I guess. Actually how many do care about lyrics and understand the music? For myself, I first listen to the music, look for some nice melodies, some nice riffs or at least an element that can hook me up, then come lyric. A good, understandable lyric with a catchy musical arrangment easily hooks me up. Shironamhin failed me with their recent works.

    • @LetsTalkAboutIt-Reactions
      @LetsTalkAboutIt-Reactions  Před 2 lety +1

      Sometimes, all you need to be hooked are lyrics, and there are many such tracks which does it extremely well.
      Also, you are correct, where it also depends what kind of mindframe or mental health the listener is, and based on that, the music hits different.
      In this case, for us, there was a lot lost in translations we are sure, as will be the case with other Shironamhin’s work.
