Brad Owen videos over lunch. The ultimate work from home setup. Thank you, Brad, for the continued content!
Wfh here as well, too true
Way too true 😂
Me too homie! Monday is 1pm EST lunch day
same here man
Ya if you like the same boring content, same setup and deja Vu videos. Enjoy being bored
Super refreshing to see a vlogger talk about game selection and checking out of a short game with tough opponents. Great content.
One of my absolute favorite things is spot-on nailing your bet/raise before you announce it on the video. Always enjoy your vlogs.
"The hijack is like Roy Munson, he doesn't have a real hand"... This might be your best work Brad. Im so proud
Lol. Only people our age will get it. 😅😅
I wanted to comment on that line but you beat me to it.
Agreed. Definitely have to know to catch that quick one.
KingPin, a top 20 movie of all time.
@@independantcrypto4323.... yeah, but wasn't he 🔥 HOT 🔥, playing Galaxia, in "Anger Management"??!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Brad I try to come up with different superlatives because you have continued to raise the bar! Your breakdown is incredible, along with your emotions that are attached to it! You have the IT factor that connects with your viewers! You work very hard to produce this amazing content! I'm very appreciative of the positive impact it has had on me whenever I watch your videos! Thank you Brad!
Hey Brad! As someone who does not play poker or understand every little situation, I greatly appreciate you explaining the situations and why you make the certain moves you do. It's super interesting as a general fan!
I always really like seeing these types of comments. It's nice to know that even people who don't necessarily play still enjoy the videos. Thanks Nick.
@@BradOwenPokersame, the entertainment value of your videos is really high as well, on top of that I feel that if I ever were to play poker I’d be a lot better than I think because of you!
PS loved the 5-1 comment about the WC 2014, that game is ingrained in my brain after the brutal defeat in the 2010 finals (Dutchmen here)
hey Brad, it takes a lot of courage to posts losses, a lot of vloggers mostly post wins. Thanks for always being real 💯
That 5-1 game was fantastic! Hup Holland 🇳🇱
Love ur vids man, you've become pretty much my mostly watched youtuber over the past two years, your work is amazing
Good luck Brad! Appreciate your content. Keep up the good work. My man.
Thanks man
@BradOwenPoker I was in Spain when we scored 5-1 against them. It was glorious.
Also in 2010, when Spain won the world cup, I remember sitting at a "orange" camping site (loaded with Dutchies) on a packed terrace where drinks were being served by Spanish waiters. When Arjen Robben broke free and had a 1 on 1 with Casillas, we all held our breath and hoped this would the world-cup winning goal.
He stopped Arjens goal attempt with his toe. The waiter, who was a Spanish dude, was so happy he dropped his serving tray with all the drinks on it. We helped him out and when Spain won the world cup, we all tipped him and the Spanish staff extra and celebrated with them. It was fun. We sometimes refer to this as the "toe of god" moment. 😅
Love your content Brad! I’ve learned a lot from you. Plan on testing out my luck in Vegas October 8th-11th when I’m there for the packer raiders game. Wish me luck and maybe I’ll run into you. 😊
As a Raiders fan… I hope you win at the tables. 😉
Good luck Chad
Brad, I think I’ve watched every video of yours the past 4 years. It is unbelievable how you always keep me on my toes every time! I played in the ccg tourney at the max in Mccook, IL 3 years ago and busted right before you rotated to my table. You have to come back out here sometime soon ❤
"The name's not boy, it's Roy." Appreciate at least one movie reference per vlog! Appreciate your work, message and approach. You're the best out there. Peace, love and prosperity.
Hey Brad, when I lived in Jacksonville FL, I played at the Best Bet (also referred to as Regency), and the games there are great. I was even there the day it opened back in March of 2012. Looking forward to the video on that great property. Keep up the great work. ☺
I love your videos. Can’t get enough of them. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪, you are known all over the world
Ich spreche ein bischen deutsch
@@camdenschneider4421Aus welchem Bundesstaat kommst du ?
It's all one big session anyhow. Always rooting for you Brad. Enjoy your life and family in Vegas dude.
Low stakes recreational player here. Really appreciated your "take shots, go to tables where your hourly is the highest" comment in the last video. Saw a 2/5 table at my local cardhouse that looked really good and took a shot and ended up winning 100 bbs in just over an hour. Appreciate the videos Brad! Hope to get a shot at winning some Bradley dollars soon enough.
That's not at all what he was saying. He was saying play the softer game that improves your hourly rate, which is often going DOWN in stakes. In no way was he suggesting to take a shot at higher stakes. It's fine to take shots but that wasn't what he implied there
@@Masoch1st you already said what he was implying. Go to where your hourly rate will be the best. If that means going down in stakes… do that. If that means seeing a soft game in higher stakes and going there to improve your hourly… then do that
@@ryanhnatowich1085 in this context, he is referring to going DOWN in stakes. That is an important distinction, and lower skilled players might think higher stakes = higher potential hourly. and while that may be true if you're good enough, for most people they are not bankrolled for this and will get smashed.
I'm glad it worked out when you took a shot in a higher stakes game. I definitely wasn't encouraging that type of thing all the time, but if you think it was more profitable for you to play 2/5 that day rather than 1/2 or 1/3, then that's great. I also like that you quit after an hour and locked up a win to build up some confidence. It's good to take baby steps into the pool rather than dive right into the deep end.
The Roy Munson joke was top notch. 11/10
Hey Brad- great illustration of proper game selection. Nice lesson for all of us.
Great work on the videos as always. I know you’ll crushing the high stakes games soon.
I learn the most on the videos you don’t win. Thanks for being transparent with your audience! You the man Brad!
I love that you include sessions like this it shows how to play when you’re down and how to keep composed and know when to just rack up
5:56 Jacks is the 5th best hand as AK is the 4th best
Cant believe i was following you when u were playing 1/2 and had barely no followers. You deserve all the success. i love your videos. CONGRATS!!!
Another great one Brad. Thanks alot. Come on guys its easy to support and just hit the thumb
Thank you for reminding me of that great 5-1 win vs Spain during worldcup 2014. Just watched the hightlights again!
Cheers,
Dutch guy (obviously)
Happy to see you’re coming to Jacksonville!!
I love when i see your video pop up mate, cheers!
Nice work on the video as always Brad.
Your still growing every week in wisdom Brad. Good man
Love a Brad notification 🎉
im playing well and i been watching and learning for years thanks for the content,
Thanks for sharing this video Brad. It reinforces the truth that variance in poker means there will be tough days as well as amazing ones. Recently I’ve been going through a down streak but seeing your videos makes me feel the turn around is just around the corner. Really enjoy and appreciate your hand analysis and especially your efforts to highlight tough beats.
Variance my ass. I've been on a downswing for the past couple years. In the past two years I'm down like 20k. I've had the odd night where I cash big but overall I'm being raped by the deck
It’s my birthday and there’s no better way to spend it then watching brad owen!!
Hey Brad don't know if you remember me but it was super cool randomly running into you late at night a couple of weeks ago at the Westgate. Been a big fan of the Vlog for awhile now and looking forward to attending the meet up game if you have one when you come to Florida again.
"Step daughters at the bowling alley?" Did I miss that you (Brad) got married? If so, congrats!
We’re not technically married but we’ve been together for 5 years and all live together.
Wow, I've never seen one of your videos before but I really feel like I learned some things. Awesome content.
Brad, just saw you in Doyle's memorial video, sitting next to him. AWESOME. Immortal. That has to be a memory for life. Good luck out there!
Lots of fun watching Breno run deep in the Main Event. He's a great player.
I love the Easter egg on the whiteboard every video! Your a champion Brad
Nice. Racking up when the game is tough is a positive move.
Montreal? Playground? Holy Crap! I’ll see you there! That’s in my backyard! Awesome!! I’ve been subscribed since the beginning! So much fun watching you develop into a world champion poker player!
i love the white board in the back XD
great video btw
love it
Against a reg who likes to 3b a lot it's profitable to use a polarized 4b range. I use hands like QTo, 99, KJo and a variety of Ax to balance the range. Effective in tourneys and cash. Especially effective versus a suspected bot because their programming shuts down in squeeze and 4b situations.
Just in time for lunch. Thanks goat
Can’t wait to finaly meet you guys at playground ! Been watching the vlogs since very early on 😊
That Stevie Wonder song at @2:30 is the MOST Las Vegas Strip song to be playing. Perfect.
how do you play poker and record and know what everyone at the table is doing all at the same time. kudos to you man! thanks for the entertaining videos!
Thx Brad, great entertainment
Love the vids - table noise in the back is wigging me right out 😂 keep thinking there’s someone outside my room
This video was great!!
Absolutely love your videos Brad! On a side note I also love the look of the chips at the Bellagio 😊
Pretty much no better way to start my day. 🎉 have a good day Brad
Brads videos always get me pumped to play some holdem
WHITE CASTLE!!! @ 2:57.....SOOOOOO saved me many mornings!!!
Always good Brad...thanks
Hey Brad! love the content been a huge fan for a while. Now that I got that out of the way your sign in the background… I don’t know dude, I met you at the hard rock guitar hotel poker room and you seemed to match the size on CZcams 😂😂😂
"Like Roy Munson, he doesn't have a hand". Lol ! That movie was playing on the TV in the motel I stayed at last year when I went to a MUG at the Hustler. Going to Montreal in October, can't wait !
No better combo than brad owen and bellagio 5/10
Dam, that would be just awesome for either you or Andrew to win the tournament and get that wonderful piece of building-and YES you are taller than you seem on CZcams- As always may you continue to have the time of your life.
That Johnny Tsunami reference really tells me that we are around the same age. Classic Disney original.
My last session was much the same wasn’t in the mood to fold cost myself more money than I should if I had a more disciplined day. After sessions like that I like to to take a couple minutes at the casino really focus before I sit down on being patient and taking my time. Great Roy Munson line 😂… tough night for Jacks heard this on High Stakes poker there is 3 ways to play Jacks and there all wrong . Thanks for the content Good luck next session
Not a joke. I played online for the first time in a while and I swear to god I play by played every hand in my head - but also I did it in Brad’s voice. I think I broke my brain binging on Brad vids.
Thanks Brad?!! You coulda easily stopped pumping out content...butt, you didn't and I And definitely many others reaLly appreciate it!!! TakeCare!!
22:57 nice brad I respect the WC reference joke😆
I look forward to these videos every day
To be honest, I just watch these videos to see Brad's smile and hear his jokes, haha. Definitely a good man.
only blog i watch what a path you have taken amazing!
keep up the great work Brad ... Niners are undefeated
Dude you are taller than you look on CZcams.. haha I ran into you and your girl at Settebello pizza a few months back. I just got hired at the Wynn for the WPT winter classic. I look forward to seeing you there!
That Munson reference was gold 😂
Roy Monson reference! Outstanding!!!!
Hi Brad, I’d like to come to the dec 1st meet up at the Wynn - is there something in specific I have to do or do I just turn up ? What time will it be
You counted a loss, but you've won our hearts.
Surprised to hear you talking favorably about driving on the strip. I heard driving around vegas is a nightmare while they prep for the F1 race.
Nice Johnny Tsunami reference!😄
See you in Jacksonville Brad. Look forward to meeting you. Bring Bradley dollars!
Headed to Vegas next week, either you get Matt dollars or I get Bradly dollars 😅
I love the whiteboard notes 🤣
Brad there are 3 Best Bets in the Jacksonville area. Which one? One is off SR 207, one off Monument Rd and one off Park Ave
Of course you’re doing a meet up in Jax when I’m outta town🤦🏻♂️ maybe next year you could try Best Bet in St Augustine. It’s their newest poker room.
"were like my step daughters at the bowling alley... a gutter ball" hahah nice one
A couple of sessions ago when I had JJ on the button and 3 bet, I faced a 4 bet from the big blind tight player (played with him before). Knew with relative certainty that he had a bigger pair. Almost folded but decided to set mine the flop knowing that if it hit he would be stacked. Flopped quads. He went all in on the turn. It was that guys 1st hand at the table. Had AA.
Love the kingpin reference!! Haha
Keep it up Brad.
Thanks for making my Monday per usual brad
I Heard rumors that Brad was at Encore in Boston and I missed him😢😢 if this is true pls comeback and would love for you to get a true experience ❤
The Roy Munson line got me.
I am earlyyyyyy , keep up the great work brad both on and off the felt !
Brad brought out the "Joke Bet" reference...shots fired @ArmenianMike 🤣😂
Yeah that Roy Munson line was absolute gold 👏👏
Bestbet Jax is my local room! I’m gonna try to come out and see the pros in action, maybe I’ll get a chance at some Bradley dollars haha. I’m just sticking to cash games for now though
the Roy Munson reference was pretty good!!
This is good training for the real big games
Good to see you guys doing MUGs in Canada. Maybe move west next time?
Hey Brad, love the content! Was wondering at 6:10, what’re the exact odds someone with AK AQ holdings will flop a higher pair than pocket jiggities?
a hand with 2 over cards to any pair is about 48% to 52% favoring the pair
Definitely taller in peraon. Seen ya in Jax. Andrew and Ethan too?
Aggro players may be more difficult to navigate against, but doesn’t necessarily mean they are good / profitable players - that comes down to execute of said LAGGY strategy and how good our counter strategy is…LAG strategy is generally more suited to MTTs than cash IMO (obv subject to table) as variance in MTTs is forgiving (cos all the money up top and stack advantages etc.), in cash games there’s not much upside to variance unless trying to out bankroll someone / induce tilt
Sounds like a few mental game issues there, something to work on…
Jiggities were a tough hand they usually are good for you Brad but it's one of them days still love your contents
