I was having a midnight practice with this piece, and after giving up badly, I see Traum posting this beautiful playing. It wasn't very good for my self esteem :)

I think if anyone is ever at the level of this piece, unless maybe you're trying to be a concert pianist (still, good work) then I think that you can be proud of being at this level, even if you haven't perfected the piece yet

I was thinking the same. Like dang I’ve heard this piece so many times by so many people yet Traum plays it so clearly and perfectly and puts the emphasis on the exact notes that I want to hear emphasized. Absolutely blown away.

You know one thing that about 90% of Chopin pieces have in common is that they look really fun and easy for about the first 30 seconds. Then chopin backhands you back down to earth
Even his first piece (Polonaise in G Minor) has a style like that
I think the first page is already really hard. Although this is considered the hardest polonaise i self-taught this piece when i was in the 7th grade.

who says he's speeding up? i've played czerny daily exercise at allegro molto pace when i was freaking 8. this guy is clearly a musical performance major. his wrist is super relaxed and his fingers come off smoothly. sped up video won't do that.
