I watched a woman on YT redo her La-Z-Boy. It looked so good but it took her forever and she said she would never try that again. I am a automobile upholstery shop. i have not done a La-z-boy in my 43 years. sorry but it a lot of difference in the to types of upholstery. thank you for watching.
I don't do furniture as a rule, just car's. Funny you ask, I just done 10 La-Z-Boy recliners for the cancer center here. Took one and made my patterns for all of them. If it hadn't been so many I probably wouldn't have done the job. It wasn't very difficult, lots of staples to pull out wasn't to bad. You can do it.
Great video. I’m wondering if you were struggling to get the stencil to peel off because the dye formed a layer that bridged to the stencil. Similar to latex house paint. When you mask off trim when painting a house, you need to peel the masking tape while the paint is still wet otherwise it’ll “skin” over and pee the paint if you peel the masking after it’s dried. What’s the best way to tie the nylon drawstring so it’s easily removed when needed? I was never good with knots
