Interesting. That Woodpecker system sure looks like a good way to go. Would love to do that.
You guys always produce great videos with valuable information.
Always top shelf Vids, keep up the good work.
Thanks for making this clip! Innovation is amazing.
Thank you for these videos. These are encouraging developments. Using plastic waste in building blocks is the best solution so far.
Problem Is unless it is mixed with the proper bonding agents the plastic can off gas and it can be cancergentic
Exceptional recycling and clever means of building structures. Thank you so much for this.

Uninsulated walls are for tropical climate, the problem is that nothing can't beat the dirt cheap cinder block.
Enjoyed the video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
Very cool indeed 😎👍! Thanks 🙏
I take away many good ideas from these videos👍
Thank you for the feature!! We appreciate the coverage from your channel.
Great product! Excited to see LokNBlok start being used in the construction industry.
The major cost of building a house is labor (in the us, california in particular). The major time sink is all the finishing work, the roofing, the interior, the wiring, the plumbing. You could have a square box for free, and a house would still cost about the same. Plastic has a big issue with expansion and contraction, I would be skeptical of material made from particular those blocks. Would have to see all the testing results.
Great information . Thanks
Awesome building! TY
Amazing video, thanks
Good information. However, I do wish that you had mentioned the cost of these materials.
There links to the companies selling the products featured on n the video description
I agree would be so much easier to rack and stack them. If you really want to know you'll have to contact the companies via email, they rarely show thier costs with the public unless you ask directly.
Well yeah would be great but..... gou have to check foe yourself because prices do change given different circumstances...
Some things (like prefab for example)
Require a factory
So shipping is a issue...
Some things are only available in some locations while other thing require professionals.. (could be locals/...)
So there are lots of unknowns...
Just get a estimate
When prices for materials are not advertised on manufacturers sites, it's usually more expensive than conventional construction materials. They will claim you save on labour, but actually labour costs on a buildings superstructure isn't that much. The cost is in what completes the house ie roof, electrics, carpets, cupboards, foundation, insulation etc. So as a rule hardly any saving on a structure that won't last as long as brick.
These construction methods are ok for when building structures on sites whith difficult access.
Best alternative is a solid log cabin.
@@zabadackakaHansCoche mostly true.. the framers are part of it. If its not partly diy, you still have the contractor to pay. Insulation comes with the block so you dont pay for the walls and the labor for that.... the rest depends on how much icf you do with the roof and floors
Suberb! Thank you for sharing this video regarding new building materials & technologies especially recycling of plastics. This is indeed suitable for Third World & Developing countries. Greetings from Papua New Guinea.
Innovative building and environmentally friendly, when are these ideas coming to Nigeria
There is so much interest of wanting these products but it's not available in our country, so sad!
That is so AWESOME 👌
Recycled plastic bottles has my vote! Someday mining the trash piles as well as the oceans and fresh water.
I've always thought SIP panels were the way to go but my opinion is based more on just seeing the concept rather than any "nuts and bolts" type of examination. I wonder if there are any studies showing cost comparisons, relative strength, long term durability, etc. that would help determine if one method is better than another? The one shown in this video (#2) caught my eye as I built fiberglass boats for 30 years and I'm very familiar with the materials and technology.
Best of the best😀🥰👌👌👌👏👏👏❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you
Have you considered using Hemp hurd that is wrapped
With mesh & portland cement.
I am amazed at all of the different types of products send more
Amacing 👌great idea🤗🤗🥰🥰
All interesting designs and developments. Only for the plastic ones limited by area not destined for forest areas with forest fires that could melt the plastic buildings.
I'd like a closer look at the flooring made with coffee bean hulls and recycled plastic. Decking?
I definitely need to reach out to this company
Great man never sleep but thanks , I love it, but all these comes with cost, money boy!!!
So nice
What is the R-value of the poly lock, and is there a thermal break in the blocks...
yes I am interested in your product . I have been in construction in the 1980s and this is a good thing I see. Wish to do business in contracts in the future.
I like the 'Lego' block building concept being implemented in the variations of lock-n-block building materials for design and building structures that are...Hopefully...Hypo-Allergenic, and can be ADA compliant.
You do realize it really is oversized lego block, that won’t have enough structural rigidity to withstand severe storms and tornadoes? I really laughed when they just found a new fancy way of saying plastic, “… it is made up of carbon and hydrogen…” 😂😂😂😂 so it’s not a natural hydrocarbon, otherwise it’ll be combustible, so they used polymerisation, hmmm i wonder what we called polymers of hydrocarbons maybe plastic. I have nothing against plastic. But just Don’t like when people use technical jargon to mislead consumer
@@syedhuzaifahassan4588 I agree with you on that. There are materials available for the lock-block design that would work adequately for this use. Just need to be more up front with the make -up of materials.
@@syedhuzaifahassan4588 The post tensioning system does provide the needed rigidity.
Would be good for hempcrete systems
Inquiring for the resistivity from sesmic shock, wind pressure, and price?
More vid like this 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Like poly blocks, cost compered to normal bricks?
Can one have such blocks made with hempcrete?
Poly care and Lok N Blok look pretty great to me. Woodpecker is cool to, but not as good in a northern climate.
Good 👍
This video is very good 😎
SUGGEST: a worksheet to compare costing... without numbers these products are simply fantasy... also needed is not just R factor but humidity trapped within the segments due to seepage and day/night condensation, since humidity directly affects mold formation... a map of North America laying out bands of best fit for insulation profile versus local conditions much as what is available for seed catalogs... thx ... looking forward to numbers
I keep think about Lego houses with these fit together block systems.
Groundbreaking building blocks and panels are just around the corner, and have been for the last hundred years! I hope something sticks.
Ok! Now get them approved by your city. Lots of luck.
I'll take Lok-N-Blok as the winner. Easier to run piping and electrical horizontally.
I bet I could use Wiki-house to build a Hexacube House? Hmmm? And the two cubicles could be made from waste plastic. I could also build an Algeco 2002 House with it.
Amusing modelling …
Polycare is the easiest solution I've seen yet. No mortar or concrete, only some vertical support, is fully insulated, and looks like it can be finished on the outside with stucco and on the inside with plaster. Taking the building back apart I don't see much of a plus. Only catch is that the plant is in Namibia.
That's great job how can we work in our country in ethiopia
Now we just need a open source home building software to allow for people to design their homes with real life available components.
Cual es el mejor ?
I would be skeptical about the houses made of carbon blocks or plastic. Carbon nanotubes are no joke for the lungs and plastic full of BPA is not something I'd want to house my family in. I'm interested to see how they overcome these health hurdles.
How much do they cost?
LEGO totally had the right idea, they just had to scale it up 😎🍹

How do they stand against fire and a push
what is the R level for insuli
Come to Tanzania.....
First👍🏽😁
Thanks for the video can I get any of these systems in the United States, can they be shipped to Oklahoma, can you do a video that tells where to purchase them and the approximate coast per square foot
Hi, links are in description below the video. You can find more info there. I'm not affiliated with any of these companies.
Thanks for sharing your video "free" to me...... I love the ironic bias with which people depict their products when comparing their building products to other products ..... but it is misguided....each building product must be guided from time of concept to finishing, for example building time with cinder blocks or cement blocks as well as any other product like wood, time starts from moment a tree is planted, from the moment the clay for the brick is found, fromt moment the coffee is planted, no coffee, no tusk no nothing, no clay no bricks, no planter no tree, etc etc.... panel building does not start with the panel already fabricated, it starts with everything else before the panel is manufactured...... assembling vs building is not the same.

What are the prices, which is best. Do you know of any homeowners that built their own?
Can you substitute the insulation with something organic and natural, like wool??
Of course, but it may add to the cost.
Could they use recycled plastic to make them?
Where could l buy your product?
Good video, but doesn't mention the USA does not allow these building methods.
Where could l buy it?
how many of these are able to pass the USA building codes?
noboddy care about inovative construction systems for detached housing. It shouldent be a thing. Make a couple of factories. Then make a rail. Then transport the replacable buildingblocks on the rail and build the block next to the rail lifting everything directly from the rail to the block with a lift.
Can polycare use Sahara desert sand Which is known for beeing unusable for construction?
Where can I get this Material
interlocking blocks....? like lego?
You didn't compare costs with the various materials such as lock n' block compared to stud framing.
What about off-gassing? Health impacts?
Enviros don't care about 5hat. As with everything its about the money
Need more Information no the coast per block
Where can we find the polycare kit?
Links are in the description of the video. Polycare system is just being introduced so not sure if it's widely available yet.
Anything to do with PLASTIC on the outside (roof, wall).. will eventually mean that the rain and weather will beat it down into microplastics, which will go further into the ecosystem. If these blocks are made out of hempcrete, then we have another matter. on our hands...
Or am I wrong about this?
How can I contact the company in Namibia, so that I can import these polymer blocks into South Africa
GREAT, I WANTED TO BUILD EXTRA UNIT MY HOME ON MY PROPERTY WHERE CAN I BUY THOESE MATERIAL FROM RECYCLE BUT GOOD AND DURABLE AND SOUND RESISTANT. SERIOUSLY. I bet It would be cheaper than currently Lumber and metal price....
🤔😉🙂👍
Like
nj is ok to use these building code
LocNBlock
4:27 Do people who live in Woodpecker houses enjoy the smell of fresh roasted coffee, when they wake up in the morning?
Available in USA Approved anywhere in USA?
Texas has exemption for owner built and occupied houses in the boondocks. Do whatever you want, if you're killed can't complain to the building dept.
Otherwise, the local building department will not allow anything new and different without structural engineering approvals specific to the house plans,
and believe me when I say a certified structural engineer won't put his name on anything...even simple stuff, they want $50k..or more.
Can you please advise me of the contact details of all of these companies.
I wonder about the long-term air quality of a home with recycled plastic in the walls. Why would anyone choose to have plastic in their walls when there are healthier, natural options available?
Polymer? Is this plastic and concrete mix? If so, please no more plastic. Eventually, plastics from these will end up in the ocean. If this becomes popular, it will increase the nano plastic in water by 2x.
Ts resin and sand. Not plastic.
Does plastic from home blocks wash out in rain to ocean?
@@Mayankk196not while it is still part of the house but once the home is demo'd it might.
To late. Its everwhere now
lok in block is much more advantageous
Build Dam
Lego!
you need to say what the cost is.
These systems are almost never available in the USA.
And why is this? Existing businesses and companies suppressing innovations. Phooey. Things need to change, and not be business as usual. Good bye Lowes and Home Depot! You expensive sobs.
vous serez les bienvenus en Côte d'Ivoire
comment faire pour s'en procurer svp ?
So any of these systems designed in incorporate utilities IN THE WALLS or are just another European after thought, and don't forget seismic design.
SAND AND RESIN *
All of these new products and designs and no prices ? Mmmm. . . Is that because they're no cheaper than conventional building???
...poly_crete...
