I love living in Idaho because im in an area that people from washington, oregon, and California are moving to in droves so the thrift stores have good stuff but the prices are stupid great. my average price per item is about $4.75. All my local goodwills do blanket prices and give some good stuff a chance to hit the floor instead of it all going to shopgoodwill.

I wish Argentina was closer! I could open my own sustainable second hand store. Clothing is super expensive there too. I live and thrift here in the US. It would be too expensive to go back and forth though....

My mom said "Every Tuesday, 50% off day, there is a bunch of Mexican woman just piling clothes into their carts" i told her. "Yeah, they send it all down to Mexico and sell it there.". Case and point. 😂

True in CA, AZ, NM, and TX. Fortunately most of their pickups are not what sells best online. They grab a lot of common brands and mall brands because that’s what’s in demand from most of their buyers south of the border. Nike, Adidas, Old Navy, American Eagle, Hollister etc.
There’s a nice harmony established imho. Ariat would be a huge exception to this. Massively popular in Mexico.

Maybe think about living near Nogales on the USA side by that good will bins. You can find cray cray stuff while still being next to Mexico . Also as for your neck, I think you should buy a pound of willow bark and sip it along with some green tea , daily with a mate bombilla straw , or use a french press.... or tea ball, whatever you use, try willow bark to relieve pain.... also you may want to increase your pineapple intake as the bromelain builds tissue, and keep calcium levels high and vit C - you should be able to get over this unidentified carpal tunnel pain.

Hey Matt, always a treat to see your smiling mug and imbibe in your adroit play by play. It must have been a cauldron of emotions as you strolled down memory lane there… but having to leave some of it behind?? Surely there was still plenty of meat in the bone with, say, the rare Winchester?? For one of your contacts who’d surely cut you in on his/ her final profits on the sale..

I live near the Mexican border and frequent the Goodwill outlets and we see hundreds of people buy from the bins with foreign license plates as well. The foreigners grab, to be honest, just whatever they get as long as its in good condition. This is why you are not seeing Mexican brands and Mexican clothing there , are you? I am sure that truckloads of USA Goodwill donations find its way to Oaxaca too.

Dip is owned by Kroger. Kroger, however, is the largest supermarket company in North America by revenue. They’re based out of Cincinnati, and in the east and Midwest, Kroger proper is everywhere (1238 locations). However, Kroger also owns tons of grocery chains, including some you’d recognize from out west such as Ralphs. Dip is to Kroger as George is to Walmart, essentially.
