- Welcome back! As many of you know I started my own candle company a few months ago and it has done pretty well! I specialize in Fortune Telling Candles. Today I am testing out new fragrance oils, soy wax, and CD-12 wicks! I have been wanting to expand and try new candle scents, and wanted to try a higher quality company. I have heard amazing things about The Flaming Candle so I decided to give them a try! Follow my journey in making and testing these new candles!

thank you so much for the information video!! loved all of your input.
Congrats on new scents! So interesting that it stayed down in this soy. Awesome 👏
Thank you so much! And it is weird. I wonder why it did that. Hopefully it wasn’t just a one time thing lol
@@FeliciasRealm crossing my fingers for staying down in next batch. Looking forward to next video!
@@alyshal417 thank you so much! (:
Wow, you are very beautiful! And your voice is beautiful too. I started making my own candles too a month ago , just to myself for now.
This is so sweet, thank you! I hate my voice lol I am always shocked when people say they like it! But I hope you have been enjoying candle making, when you decide to sell, let me know! Would love to try them out :)
Thank you for the video! How do you wash dishes from aromatic oils?
I dedicate only certain tools for my candle making. I use a mix of metal and wooden tools and plastic ramekins for my oils, use a gentle, clean soap and hot water to rinse and let them dry.
Hi there! What’s the name of the tool you’re using to apply the wick to the candle?
It’s actually just a metal straw! 😂 works wonders!
Cure your candles. You’ll find conflicting info on this. I forgot about a test batch of 5 scents for a few weeks. 3 got a LOT stronger, 1 got a little stronger and one didn’t get any stronger at all. So now, once I get the wick size right for that container/wax/oil combo, I make 3 test candles. I burn one after a few days, another at one week and a third at two weeks. Most fragrances have to cure but doing this tells me what has to cure and for how long.
Oh wow this is so helpful. I usually only wait 3 days and that’s the only one I test! Thank you so much.
And all soy wax will never have the hot throw of a paraffin or paraffin blend. I use 6006. It is very easy to work with and performs well.
Let’s us know how the fragrances did in 464 wax?
It did very well - I’ll make an updated video soon! I will definitely be buying from The Flaming Candle from now on :)
Oatmeal, Milk, and Honey is a soap fragrance. I’m a soap maker, so I’m just trying to warn u now. It c9mes with experience for us, what’s a good candle scent vs. soap scent. You will eventually know right off!! Blueberry Pancakes, for example, is a straight up candle scent. Soap makers use it, but who really wants to BATHE in pancakes? Maybe body butter, but u know what I’m saying!
This is great information, thank you so much! I’ll be posting more video in the future (of soap making and bath bomb making) and would love your feedback! Thanks for watching.
Soy just can’t hot throw
Very true, I’ve been having trouble with this ):
You're so beautiful ... 💓💋
You are so kind🥹
