Dinosaur King was one of my favorite animated shows as a kid. It introduced me to a lot of different dinosaur species at a young age, taught me a little about geography on the side, and helped inspire some of my own works later on in life. One of my favorite aspects of the anime was that the Dinosaur Cards could be activated and become dinosaurs by coming into contact with one of seven corresponding elements (lighting, wind, grass, fire, water, earth, and light). To clarify, this video is a supercut of every time in the show’s history that a Dinosaur Card was unintentionally activated without the use of a stone or device. If you want to know what species of dinosaur you’re watching and where in the world it was activated, then please pay attention to the timestamps. Something I love about this show is that not all the dinosaurs shown were famous. Many are more locally known or even obscure.
I know, right? I first heard about a lot of these dinosaurs because they were in this show.

I came to know about many Dinosaurs from this show like Saltasaurus, Acrocanthosaurus, Daspletosaurus etc.
I appreciate the dino that spawned in a buffet, ate everything politely, then dipped
Here's a fun fact for all you Dinosaur King fans. I timed the release of this video to be on the same date that the first episode of DK originally aired in Japan. I thought it would be fun.

After the mc trio beat the devil/demon baddies. They reunite with their families and the 2nd mc left with his family from the future. And returning the dinosaur back to their time.

My favorite and probably the best thing about this show was the personality given to the dinosaurs like the dancing daspletosaurus and the deltadromeus that just wanted to swim

@@RanselCruz if that happened it would be the worst thing to happen to this show they’d make it woke and forget all of the personality the original show has the dinosaurs would turn into mindless monsters hell bent on destroying everything for no reason and the alpha gang or whatever cheap villain group they come up with would just be a bunch of cringey jokes compared to the alpha gang here

Even though I didn't grow up with this cartoon I'm still pissed off that it was cancelled after 2 seasons I hope Sega revives this series someday for a reboot or a season 3.

Fun fact: ceratosaurus was the only wild dinosaur whose card's been activated before he was wild. In downtown runaround, while the dteam was looking at the cards in the card folio, one of the cards was the ceratosaurus. Rex tested it out to see if it was real and it was. Another thing is spiny and tank were the only main dinosaurs who were wild because chomp, terry, ace, and paris, have only been summoned through devices and the stones.
True. That's why Chomp, Terry, Ace and Paris' first activations aren't in this video. I considered adding Chomp's first appearance when I first started making this thing, but later decided against it because his card has only ever been activated with an elemental stone/dino device.
I see. Of course black t rex, cryolophosaurus, the move card dinosaurs, and the space pirates dinosaurs don't count because the the move cards are supposed to be controlled and the others have all been only under someone's control.

Fun fact: Spiny, Saurophaganax and Fukuisaurus are the only dinosaurs to activate in the places where there species lived, Spinosaurus in Eygpt; Africa, Saurophaganax in Oklahoma; North America and Fukuisaurus in Fukui, Japan
Technically, Fukui is where Fukuisaurus' card capsule originally landed, but was activated in Kyoto when it was unknowingly brought there among a bunch of fossils.

Under ocean volcano maybe? But imagine it's just drawn and turn back to card and then the card blew to the volcano again making the chaotic loop

When it's come to electric type I like how the lighting was perfectly hit the spot where the card capsule are or in torosaurus case if that guy didn't pick the egg capsule with him I don't think toro's card won't gonna activate for the whole season

I loved this show season 2 was cool too but season 1 discovering so many dinos its awesome though i think i remember on the show they showed a card in the end of an episode that never made an appearance so i always called it the enigmasaurus lol

Dinosaur King was my favorite show when I was in 3rd grade to 6th grade.
This show was peak, when I was young I had my own deck of cards and everything.

I love how they usually never show the front of the move cards, as if they couldn’t bother making pictures for them.
Ok I want to know who was the person/organization responsible for leaving these random egg capsules all over the world? They must have known that when these egg capsules break, two cards (that create an elemental dinosaur when activated with their corresponding element) are inside. They’re probably doing this intentionally for some ulterior reason.

Some professors (parents of the cool kid) were experimenting on these dinos to help them survive and there was a evil professor who stole the dinos but something happened and they were dispersed everywhere
I’m currently writing information about the show and all the dinosaurs that showed up for each element… Kind of makes me wish that all the dinosaurs that I’ve seen so far that are canon based on the show, manga, DS game and arcade were all in the TV show mostly due to the fact that it didn’t make sense when I was a kid that if Dr. ancient and his family wanted to save the dinosaurs from extinction.,They needed multiple of each species at least 100 so that way there’s genetic diversity. which means there was more dinosaurs than 37 in season one if what I said that Dr. ancient had to do to save the dinosaurs from going to extinction.
Everything in Dinosaur King could of been avoided if someone put latches on those cases, or people stopped thinking they are regular eggs for some reason lol.

Probaly megalosaurus, its both my favorite dinosaur in general and it has probably the most busted abilities in the series, at least before the time travel space shit they did
@curious9904 good one. personally, I like the Cerarosaurus, which at one point became the unofficial 4th dinosaur of the D team. It would have been cool if it had become Spike Taylor's dino companion.

No. You're thinking of the experiment pods from Lilo & Stitch: The Series. The pods are the experiments in a dehydrated state and activate when they come into contact with water. As for why the cards are element based, Dinosaur King is a Pokémon clone. It's the game's way of assigning "types" to the different dinosaurs. I'm just glad there are only seven.

Yeah, just "India" felt like way too vague of an activation location to list the captions. With a few of the countries, I lined up the D-Lab maps from the anime with real-world maps in Photoshop so that I could make some best guesses. It's honestly really annoying and a tad racist that they never told us the name of the city where Deltadromeus was activated.

For a time, yeah, but only for like a year or so (not sure exactly) until they collected them all.
When the time machine the Ancients and the Alpha Gang were on crashed, all the dinosaur cards (except for _Tyrannosaurus_ and _Megalosaurus)_ and stones (except for the Fire Stone) were scattered all throughout the world (more like a few countries, but whatever).
