Just put mine up for sale because I admitted to myself he terrifies me. Looking forward to a lower level/trail horse. Thank you guys! I feel better about it now.
Hi Alicia!! I have the honor of being the first one to see this great video! At 60 yrs old I have had some great horses with whom have had wonderful lifetime connections. Hoping that young one I bred will also be so. My goal is to have her be a good citizen, enjoy each others company and enjoy schooling, showing and hacking.
Ahhhh! I’ve been waiting on the right horse for just this reason!!
Preach. Waited. Got tired of waiting. Bought. Now tired of rehabbing my body.
Horse first ribbons second
Yes I'm at that in between no horse stage at the moment. I'm sure it will pay off. 😊
Currently in two minds either to sell or keep and just keep trying to have make him better, every ride I have in the school ends up in tears (nothing like bucking or rearing) but just feel really uncomfortable and things never end up to plan, he’s a retired harness racer. He’s the most loving sweet boy on the ground but riding wise as I’ve brought him on he’s safe and really good with younger kids but I I’d love to try dressage and jumping but he doesn’t enjoy either.. brining my confidence down every time.
I had a turn on my friends new forest for the first time and wow while I was cantering in the school felt like maybe there was a purpose to riding and having a horse and really enjoyed my time, second time got another turn and there was an 70cm fence and I didn’t even bat an eye lid and knew he’d do it which he did, but if I were to do it on my boy I wouldn’t have gone near it..
Really stuck at the moment, if I were to sell him I would feel like I have given up on him, would feel so bad.. I really don’t know what to do 😕 thank you for this video, a lot of my friends have been saying this too I just need to decide.
You will be lucky to have one horse in your lifetime that is a horse of a lifetime
So true I actually bred mine and trained him up the levels to Grand Prix. I miss him terribly. He was definitely my heart horse
@@animallover4101 so sorry. Mine is a Welsh Section A Stallion!
I had no goal, the horse I own now was given to me. And it was the best thing what could have happened to me, after loosing my first horse. He challenges me, he pushes for more, he doesn't let me get complacent. My goal is now to be able to ride Grand Prix level. More than likely not on him, BUT he is showing me the way.
Love your honesty ❤
Very good a describing it. I have a wonderful bond between me and him
❤
Dear Alicia 🤗👌another epic explanation 👏
