- The No. 6 Oklahoma Sooners were stunned at home by the unranked Kansas State Wildcats 41-34. Kansas State QB Adrian Martinez led the Wildcats while going 21-of-34 with 234 yards passing and one touchdown. Martinez also ran for 148 yards and four touchdowns.

No. Definitely hurt our playoff chances, but there’s a lot of season left. This is typical OU football, losing a couple games a year.
idc what anyone says 11-1 is auto playoff spot for OU. 10-2 to 9-3/8-4 is conference title game. i would only be disapointed if we missed the itle game and went 8-4. remember this is brents first year with OU gutted. ou fans should have never had super high expectations. i mean if everything goes absolutely perfect maybe we could go 11-1 but i think 9-3 to 10-2 is probably where we will end up

The dude was so scrutinized in Lincoln I had a feeling he would look better at K-State glad he made the move best decision of his career.

Only confirms the Frost era didn’t develop this guy at all or give him an offensive line. 1 year at K-State and he looks like the only 2018 Martinez that was once in the Heisman race.
Martinez always played well statistically not in terms of wins and losses.
You couldn’t wish for better numbers from a qb.
The O-lines were horrendous at Nebraska with Martinez.. they couldn't pick up the blitz or win in the trenches, the win today was a team win, they all played stout and confident, they were well coached and Martinez made great decisions

UCF alum and fan here....DG played as good a game as you could ask here with some play calls that were questionable. But 330yds passing and 4 TDs with no INTs is an incredible game. DG can't be QB and play defense. The defense has to make stops too! Go Knights! Charge On!!!

Excellent game for K-State from the start. They came out confident, poised, well coached, and ready to win. Excellent play calling, coaching, and execution by the Wildcats. I really think that OU was not well prepared for this game and thought that it would be an easy win. They got out coached and out played. Revenge was sweet, since OU beat K-State in Manhattan last year on a horrible call by the refs when Lincoln Riley was allowed to challenge an already reviewed onside kick, and they ruled in favor of OU. So, I am sure the players, coaches, and fans remembered that, so we went down there this year and punched OU in the mouth from the get go and never looked back and won in Norman this year. When Kade scooped and fell on the onside kick, revenge was complete. If K-State continues to play that well and believes that they can win, they will. OU drops to #18 today, and we cracked the top 25! GO K-STATE!!

You mean to tell me that Adrian Martinez couldn’t done that in the most infamous school known as Nebraska. He by far put on a heisman trophy performance against the #6 team in the nation. If he’d done that in Nebraska, Scott Frost would still have his job. But nevertheless he balled out against a big 12 juggernaut known as Oklahoma. I hope that he get them to a major bowl game in January because he needs to show he isn’t a one year wonder. Just sayin 😎

I don’t know what it is about Oklahoma. It doesn’t matter how high their ranking is or how talented they are on both sides of the ball, for whatever reason, every year they always seem to lay an egg, even at home, against a conference opponent that they probably should have beaten by at least 2 TD’s. Don’t get me wrong, Kansas State deserved this victory and played like the better team tonight, but OU has been this way almost every year since the Stoops era.
Well OU has lost to KSU almost every time they’ve met for the last handful of years so yeah, I would say that it is more about KSU beating their tail and not some random thing.

K-State was motivated after being upset last week... no way they're bringing their absolute best to Norman. OU had 52 minutes of an ego inflating football in between two 4 minutes segments to start and end the game vs Nebraska where they looked exactly like they did all game vs K-State.
Looks like good coaching from both sides. Oklahoma sold out on stopping Vauhn. Not bad plan but it cost them.

As I've mentioned in previous posts, OU hasn't had a good defence since Switzer coached. With 1 NC since 1987 and 8 straight failed title attempts in the last 2 decades 2025 can't come fast enuff for their twitch to the sec with texas.

All I heard in the offseason was how overrated CW & MW were and how terrible Latrell was, not to mention all of the regression over the last 5 years, how he's never had to build a program before, how the players got smaller & weaker every year, and how Grinch is the worst DC in the history of our sport. These jokers are by far the dumbest fanbase I've ever seen. Where do the excuses end? I half jokingly said that Venables will get a decade to do his thing because if they drop down to a 7/8 win program in the SEC they can blame Riley for setting the program back 10 years with his "shennanigans" but it really does look like that's what'll happen.
