01-19-24 Listening from Southern Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦 43* N. It was a bit warmer today, currently 10*. I’ve been sitting and listening to these lately with just candles lit, for soft light. I love watching the ever moving flickers that cast shadows here and there, while listening to our stories. Cats are fast asleep, as usual - I can just see their sides slightly moving, as they dream their bedtime dreams. I made some apple fritters earlier, with a light glazing made with powdered sugar and warm milk ( and a spritz of vanilla added). Love Norman Rose, and Robert Dryden with their wonderful various “voices”. It’s amazing what a picture someone’s “voice” paints for us. Hope everyone is warm and comfortable as they listen to these wonderful bedtime stories, thanks to Sir Edge of Nightfall ! A peaceful sleep to all ! Hope all are in good health ! 🙏❤🫠
My two and I hope you also have a wonderful weekend ! I absolutely loved the story tonight ! Wish I could share a fritter with you ! Hope you found a way that allows you to walk Smokie. I tried with one of our cats years ago. A lovely cat, but he just didn’t want to walk. My cats are indoor, safer here, but we found a way to give them access to the deck in the summer and nice weather. One of our cats, Stubby, seems to just love the sun! The other, Shorty ( a Tuxedo) loves to watch the chipmunks, and anything else moving, a treat ! I find cats very relaxing, and Shorty is really much more like having a 5 yr old child around. I live on a lake, and the moisture from it makes the roads worse when it snows. They don't salt them, but they scrape them so as not to harm fish and other wildlife in the 27-acre lake. How about 22 years ago it was so cold that it froze the lake thick enough that we could walk the mile from one end to the other. I don't need it to be cold that long. 😊
