    Dan can't get consensus if Purdy is good or not because people who never watch games and completely missed on him in their mock drafts just can't handle the truth, that he is a great QB.
    There was a whole Jimmy vs Lance debate within the 49ers fanbase. Some kept arguing about how great Jimmy has been, compared to every other QB the 49ers had with Kyle as HC. Others argued Lance could be a difference maker and give the 49ers that missing thing. Both sides knew Jimmy had issues. Everyone knew a boneheaded interception was coming at the worst time with him.
    Both sides stopped talking about that as soon as they saw Purdy play. This is like thinking your favorite steak place is the best steak in the world and then going somewhere like Peter Luger and realizing you've been eating meh meat for a while.
    Everyone who claims it's not Purdy, doesn't watch the games or doesn't understand what they're watching. And if Dan's problem is that he can't figure out what other people think, maybe he should watch some games himself and make up his mind...
    Tua, same thing. He looked bad when his head coach was actively sabotaging him. Now he has a head coach that lets him do what he's great at.

    Dan is correct, Tua is much better than Purdy, hes right up there with Burrow behind Allen. Miami had one of the worst offensive lines in the league since Tua was drafted, and he still led the league in passing. Theres not many quarterbacks that can mask the oline struggles like Tua did, not many at all. Id take Tua over Lamar everyday and twice on sunday regardless of his two mvp awards

    Love how these guys keep making Tua the victim. The truth is Chan Gailey and Flores wanted Tua to throw quicker because he was slow at reading the field. Tua came out publicly and said, "he hates giving up on any play". Tua didn't want to slide or throw the ball away or duck out of bounds. So Gailey came up with a quick passing game that was later sped up even more by Godsey.
    When McDaniel got here he allowed Tua to play his way and ended up with 3 concussion. Now that McDaniel has reverted back to Flores play speed on steroids he's a genius when Tua was fighting this idea to begin with but he's a victim.
    Make it make sense.

  • @steverutkowski3546
    @steverutkowski3546 Před 21 dnem

    As a dolphins fan I can tell you that the truth is.. can the Dolphins win the Superbowl with this offense? Yes, but is it likely? No.
    If you want to look at this honestly you have to take their record against playoff caliber teams into account and that record is garbage. You can't blame it on O line injuries because the offensive scheme itself is designed to operate with an average line. Most people blame the Defensive injuries for the losses late in the season but the defense isn't responsible for putting points on the board, that's the offense job and again.. against the playoff caliber teams they were very bad at doing so. Now there is a reason for why Miami's offense is so effective against the lower and mid level teams and that's simply because these lower and mid level teams play a lot of zone coverage which Miami's offense is designed to torch. When the Dolphins offense runs into a playoff caliber team though the story is quite different as these defenses are generally better talented and can play more man coverage and press the 5'9 and 5'10 180 pound receivers we have at the line or as in KCs case just take Tyreek hill and throw him on the ground at the line of scrimmage. Either way though this throws off the timing that this scheme depends upon for its success.. receivers aren't where they're supposed to be, Tua has to hold onto the ball longer than he's designed to and the average offensive line breaks down after that 2.5 seconds. Defenders playing the middle of the field is effective against this offense as well because Tua lacks the velocity on his passes to consistently make throws outside the numbers, and the good defenses will also do this to the Dolphins.
    To me it's a flawed system because the line is not capable of protecting the quarterback if the defense is able to disrupt the receivers timing which throws the entire rest of the play off script and then you have a quarterback who is not capable of playing well off script. Being a fan for 35 years I would love to see them win the Superbowl but I feel it's a longshot unless McDaniel wises up and realizes it work in New England because Brady took paycuts because he understood that he needed the line around him in order to be successful. Tua has already stated that "the market is the market" so I don't see him taking any paycuts and sooner or later you're not going to be able to keep all this offensive talent around and certainly not to upgrade the offensive line. I'm hoping but like I said.. I think it's a longshot

      Right so you have Flores first time head coach, first thing they tell him is you have to tank for Tua, how would you feel about that? We know they tampered with Brady, they told him (Flores) what to do and then we are all surprised when a head coach doesn't get along with a guy who is not his guy. He is an awesome defensive coach. I think his (Flores) response to this is telling. It is abundantly clear that he has issues with coaching staff and offense. But perhaps in a little more time he will develop into a great head coach.

    Dolphins, Bills, Bengals,Super Bowl runner up 49ers, Ravens,Lions, Chargers all don’t have that winning team, they all have great QB’s and that’s it. Now if either of these team had Mahomes as QB….how much better do you think they’d be. And how good would the Chiefs be with each of those other teams QB’s be.
    Think about that. That’s my logic that makes more sense, instead of trying to force feed sports fans the idea that Tua or any of those high valued record breaking stats QB’s that your praying they win a Super Bowl….how many years now that Mahomes has proven to be the Master at his profession over Tua and the rest you mentioned.
