All this talk of Feng Shui and Ch’i and the steps the Chinese people take to establish it on a “good or bad” spectrum reminded me of this verse..

feng shui masters have something to say but only when they not being payed for consultancy. otherwise they come, they fart, they spit in a corner, they take hefty pile of money and they approve. bank of china was build on two concrete pillars not to wake sleeping beneath dragon - feng shui masters approved that. price and waterhouse building was build with all windows round cause it was blocking dragon breath - feng shui masters idea. hk is full of these stories.
masters fight among themselves - one says - that snake, other says - noo! that dragon. all these disputes are settled with MONEY. it is always about that folks, sad
HK is financial centre - try not to pay those sandal wearing and smelly masters - you and your business are doomed cause peeps will not want your services. masters know how to spread bad words and chinese are very superstitious - your business will fall or in best case scenario be doing just so so. another prove that feng shui is legit hahaha. just prepare that pile of money and consult master - it is like levy you pay to mafia for protection

Hehehe, HongKong’s Fenshui sounded interesting. But no one takes into consideration of 20 years cycles of rotation of stars and fortunes. Therefore they’re all becoming just a set of silly discussions. If China didn’t do what they did to HongKong, HongKong would be much worse, from year 2000. They intended to feed HongKong with super strong an fast veins of fortune. They intended to make HongKong the new Silicon Valley type of fortune (super rich and fast). HongKong will be on super fast lane from now on. High gears will kick in starting 2023. Mainland China Chinese are not malevolence as some might have us think. China made countries around them rich so quickly that, they are really dazed, confused, not sure why American wanted them to cut off China market. HongKong people have had this HongKong superiority complex against all Asian countries, especially severe with mainland Chinese. Kay si , in Cantonese (prejudice) meant strange vision of others, while it’s very obvious that there’s nothing wrong with “others”. Therefore, it’s our own vision that is the problem. Let us correct our vision problems. Loving kindness to everyone.

风水 Feng Shui is like astrology.
    totally superstition and fiction.
it works similarly with TA technical analysis . although TA works to Some extent because of logic. Example, when the price becomes too high or expensive, then, it is bound to have a correction.
But all of them are self-fulfilling prophecies. One Who truly believes in such superstition is diligent enough to be dedicated to his work , thus giving more chances to succeed in life.
    Dedication and Hard Work

From my work experience and exposure from research work...I would say that Feng (Wind) Shui (Water) is an actual science but was contaminated or corrupted over the centuries by politics and religion. For example build your door facing south and hill or mountain on your back, Beijing is a capital built near the ancient borders in order to cope with raiders from the north and it is a good policy to keep the main gate away from the enemy and best to keep a mountain in between.
Cross review it with other culture structural design handling water, wind, heat, etc of their buildings like in the middle east and europe, the logic works. Even the fengshui concept of zero energy in windswept area. Now you could study these realistic fengshui design by researchers from earth homes designers and permaculturists.
It shows how bad an autocratic regime like CCP and many of its predecessors in ancient China could contaminate an important branch of scientific practice with thousands of years of history.

@@profuji7945 well, sort of because in some designs you can cause grievous harm or kill people using feng shui even in scientific way. Because on a large scale we could harness it with intent, what we call microclimate. It could affect physical and biological property of the location. Some could promote growth of harmful things. Worse case scenario is the lake of death in Africa. Short explanation the lake have properties similar like a bottle soda and agitation of the water equilibrium case massive bubbles of CO2. Many died, even car engines stopped. Lucky few who survived were ones who coincidentally stood on their trucks or at elevated position. Every oxygen breathing creature who stood below human height first passed out from lack of oxygen within seconds and died.
The phenomena called "lake upturned" or "limnic eruption".
      Edit: google Lake Nyos, 1986.

Wow! Very interesting video. I don't believe in magic, but then I do, in the sense that people's beliefs can be self-fulfilling. For example in stock-trading there's a kind of pseudo-science called "technicals" that looks for figures in a stock price, such as "cup and handle" or "head and shoulders" that allegedly make predictions on future stock price. There's also more sophisticated or complex philosophies or religions you might say, such as Elliot Waves. And there's also simpler technicals, such as "death crosses", that do indeed show solid predictive statistical correlations, and can be defended on first principles. But however unfounded some of these belief systems may be, the fact that a lot of traders out there believe in them is a self-fulfilling market force.

Like, the state of Taira Masakado's shrine determines the safety & prosperity of the capital - i think the Great Kanto Earthquake and one other earthquake coincides with the decrepit state of the shrine at the time.
