  • In this video I am smoking a spiral cut ham and glazing it in a sweet (with a hint of spicy) cherry glaze. The result is the perfect glazed ham you can serve for Easter, Christmas, or even just a weeknight family dinner.

    I haven’t tried it yet, but placing the meat on a metal cooling rack within the smoker helps with moving the meat around. Seen some other smoking vids and it helps them. Can’t wait to try this as soon as my smoker arrives.

    Great video Nick. I wasn't sure what profile to use (cherry/pineapple) but I think I may go with the cherry. I'll use an immersion mixer to mash up the cherries a liner finer, but you got a winner with this video, Brutha.

      Thanks a great idea to mash up the cherries. I don't think you can go wrong with cherry or pineapple. Both super sweet. The traditional with ham is usually pineapple and brown sugar so switching it up to cherry and Sriracha was a hit. Very unique and delicious. Can't go wrong either way bro hope your plans go well

    I am smoking a ham with this glazing tomorrow for Easter and I'm sure it will turn out delicious. First time I've ever used preserves for a glaze and I'm sure it won't be my last.

      Make sure to bust down those cherries and add some more liquid if it gets too thick. My tips I've learned over time. Hope it goes out great!

    You do realize that that smoker does 275 degrees by placing it on the smoke setting and adjusting the p setting to change the auger cycle time and dial it in to that 275. I have the exact same grill

      Never knew that. However, I have messed with the P setting and it's not been too consistent. Usually get temp swings

      I didn't put it on right away but I didn't let it rest super long either. Maybe 30ish mins it sat out. Not intentional but just sat out in the process of filming.

    Why do people insist when uaeing the smoker just dropping the hunk of meat 🍖 right on the metal grade I'm useing copper chief paper thin grill mat and it the best. The juices don't drop down below and everything is cooked nice and juice with the smoke flavor also I have been known to use a sheet pan with a metal grade over the top for when the dropping and juice drop I can recurculate the juices to the meat being cooked

      I do that for prime rib. This is a 15 dollar ham though not concerned about saving juices from a ham. Not making a gravy or anything
