2023 Travel Tips from a FLIGHT ATTENDANT *stress-freed
TRAVEL TIPS & MORE
✈️ DO NOT check your bag
✈️ Bring food, snacks and a refillable water bottle
✈️ Plan outfits thoroughly before packing to avoid overpacking
✈️ Fly early to avoid midday weather and mechanical delays
✈️ Dress for the airport not your destination - my rule a thumb, if you experience an inflight emergency or significant delay would you be comfortable and SAFE in your outfit? I always light layer, never wear shorts or sandals/slides, and have an outer garment handy
✈️ Book the upgrade, refundable ticket, seat selection option
✈️ Stay hydrated - drink water, use lip balm, moisturize before & during your trip constantly
✈️ Bring a self care item - tea, music, book, hobby (knitting, art, language lesson, card game)
✈️ WASH YOUR HANDS frequently
✈️ Check in the day before
✈️ Use a larger bag as your “personal item” - backpack, large tote, small duffle
✈️ Always pack essentials in your personal item should the airline require your bag be checked at the gate | essentials: medications, identification, electronics/chargers, $$$, hygiene products🪥 🧼 , full leisure outfit including extra underwear, sanitizing items
✈️ Use the restroom in the terminal immediately before boarding
✈️ Ride-share or Drop Off Family/Friends if possible. Eliminating parking is a sure way to ease your mind
✈️ Invest in quality luggage
✈️ Make the most of your packing space: roll your clothing, heavy items should be placed toward the wheels
✈️ TSA: no weapons or harmful security devices. Liquids 3.4oz limit - familiarize yourself with the difference between liquids, gels, solids, etc.
✈️ Practice mindfulness but mind your business!
✈️ NEVER leave your bag - your hands should never come off your bag as you navigate the airport
✈️ Allow 1hour+ between connecting flights
✈️ READ the safety information card _ my airline alone have over 20 variations of aircrafts
✈️ Create a travel routine | designated place for your items, establish an airport flow
✈️ Arrive 2 hours prior to departure
✈️ Weather on the ground is not the same as weather in the sky, unless you’re a meteorologist CHILL
✈️ Download: FlightStats, your airline APP, MyRadar for accurate weather
✈️ Do NOT paint your nails on the plane
✈️ Keep your seat belt on at all time
✈️ Friendly Reminder: the aircraft is a flight attendants office, not your living room
✈️ Another reminder: private jets exist, so do rental cars - respectfully
✈️ Plan a rest day after air travel | stretch, book a massage, sleep
✈️ KIDS: pack their in flight bag like a camp day/sleepover
✈️ Get TSA PreCheck, it’s even free with Global Entry
✈️ Unruly behavior of any kind beyond TSA is a felony
✈️ Bring a pillow (clip to personal item bag) & blanket
Yes, Beis is that girl! But I would love to see how you meal prep. I’m one of those that get confused on what to bring through TSA
Oh I can definitely do this! Food also holds up differently in the air. Summer Travel Meal Prep video otw…
Great advice. I definitely, booked the 1st flight out all the time. For the same reasons you mentioned. Anything can happen.
I very much plan my outfits by the day/events etc but Imma over pack everytime. I know exactly what I’m doing lol. I’m plus size and sometimes I change my mind when I get to my destination based on how I’m feeling mentally when it comes to my body 🤷🏽♀️ I’d rather have options than feel uncomfortable in what I’m wearing that day.
Loved this! I also bring disposable sheets, towels, and rags. They come in very travel friendly packs! And dollar flip flops to not be barefoot in the shower lol.
Oh the dollar flip flops are a great idea. Thank you, definitely going to start that.
@@justCHANEL No problem!
I loved this a lot of these tips I already use but there are new tips that I will definitely use this was so informative thank you for sharing this!!!💕💕
One thing that wasn't mentioned as it pertains to drinks...You CAN bring your cup, Yeti, with ice in it, as long as the ice is not liquid, it will go through TSA, then get your free drink on the plane and pour into your cup, you get free refills! I have that Beis weekender.. it is a blessing and a curse. That damn bag is heavy to carry around, but can pack a lot!
Thanks for the tips. I always forget to bring snacks
Great video, thanks for the tips! Do you have any product recommendations on easy swaps for liquid to solid products? (perfume, shampoo bars, etc.). After watching one of your previous videos I purchased the BEIS 311 bag and added powdered toothpaste to my Amazon travel list. Thank you for those pointers!
Chanel where did you get your shoes from, you wore on the plane? Thank you for sharing these tips!!!
Hey Chanel- can I ask what size weekender bag you have for beis? Also where did you get the cover for your MacBook? Pleaseeee
Great content by the way!
Thank you for the tips!! Headed to Belize on Sunday and will certainly incorporate some of your tips!!
Have fun!
@@justCHANEL Thank you!😍
Thank you, and I love BEIS❣️
I'm a pilot(Not commercial, though.), so I can relate to a lot of this. Nice hat, by the way.
All of these tips are so important and the snacks are key when traveling with a toddler (we take our baby everywhere lol). My husband works for an airline and we fly standby so we definitely always catch the early flight
Love this! Early bird get the worm for sure 🙌🏽
9:26 do NOT walk on these floors… Witcho Feet!!! #aWord 😭😭😭
Did you put your Beis bag under your chair or does it go in the overhead bin?
Both depending on how long my flight is. Internationally/5HOURS+, I travel with it at my feet and use it as a foot rest plus have access to everything I need - especially snacks
