  • 1. WHERE DO I FIT IN THE PLAN OF GOD?
In this lesson we want to answer these questions:
    - ‘HOW CAN I FIND MY FIT’?
    - How do I identify MY ‘S.H.A.P.E.’ that is God given
    - How can I serve God and serve my purpose, in line with my S.H.A.P.E.
In previous lessons we have discussed the concept of S.H.A.P.E.
We are using the acronym S.H.A.P.E. to explain how each of us is created and gifted uniquely by God, to fulfil God’s purpose in this world, whilst you are still breathing.
    S - Spiritual gift (s)
Spiritual gifts are given by God to EVERY believer.
Spiritual gifts indicate ‘WHAT’ you will do when you serve
    (Rom 12 : 4 - 8,1 Pet 4 : 9 - 11, Ex 35 : 30 - Ex 36 : 2)
    H - Heart (passion)
When we speak of heart or passion, we mean that there are things that are closer to your heart than others
You have passion/zeal to do certain things
    (John 2 : 13 - 17 NB. v. 13, Romans 1 : 8 - 17 NB. 14)
    A - Ability
Ability can be God given Ex 35 : 30 ff
    or
Ability can be acquired (skill) Ecc 10 : 10
    P - Personal style
    Your unique ‘trademark’
    (Romans 12 : 4 - 6, 1 Corinthians 12 : 4 - 6)
    1 Corinthians 12:6 NLT reads
‘God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us’
    E - Experiences
Experiences can be an indicator of ‘where’ God wants to use you
    Eg. Moses Exodus 3 : 1 ff.
    NB. v. 7 - 10
    2. EXAMPLES OF FINDING YOUR FIT IN THE PLAN OF GOD
Many people struggle in knowing what their gifts are; where and how God wants to use them
Let us examine some practical examples from the bible, to answer these questions
    3. WHAT ARE MY GIFTS?
    When you read Rom 12 : 4 - 8, 1 Cor 12 : 1-11, 1 Pet 4 : 9 -11 and Ex 35 : 30 - Ex 36 : 2; the bible tells us explicitly that each one of us has a gift/gifts that God has imparted in us.
The following gifts are mentioned (just to name a few- this is not a complete/comprehensive list)
    Administration
    Craftsmanship
    Creative communication
    Encouragement
    Hospitality
    Leadership
    Mercy
    Teaching
