Its super nice and quiet inside the car, and sounds pretty good on high RPMs.

Just got a 1999 one for super cheap from an old neighbor, didn't know they had a little cult following until looking up things about it to see if they were good cars. Love it so far and when I have the time and extra cash I want to make it as cool as yours!

I'm trying to do an exhaust and headers on a 92 SC400.
The welds and fabrication look great. However - WTF were you thinking when you welded directly to the catalysts?!? You built the entire system as one piece - how would/could you ever remove the exhaust to work on other parts of the car?
Using a die grinder with a cut-off wheel, you could have spent 20 minutes cutting off the heads of the bolts holding the Y pipe to the catalysts; then ground down the bolt remains flush to the flanges. That would have kept the catalyst flanges intact so your system could have been BOLTED to the catalysts rather than welded.
I literally just did this last night.

that was sick! i have a stock exhaust on my 1994 ls400 and i am interested in upgrading it. do you know what the price range is for a similar setup to the one you have?
If you will make it by yourself I would say about $500-600 for materials.

Редко. Их надо варить исключительно на позиционное и в специальном алюминиевом зажиме, чтобы не уводило. Иначе будет подпердывать. Слип-он соединения самые простые и надежные если правильно все сделать.
