Rio 1932 in color (Updated with original sound)

This is an original B&W movie, shot in 1932 in the city of Rio de janeiro, Brazil. The movie was 100% colorized by computer, using AI. This work was based on the paper "Colorful Image Colorization", by Richard Zhang, Phillip Isola and Alexei A. Efros from University of California, Berkeley and Dr. Adrian Rosebrock's tutorial. The system is implemented as a feed-forward pass in a CNN at test time and is trained on over a million color images. The process of colorization of 14, 535 frames took me 3 hours and 10 minutes on a MacBook Pro - 2.9GHz Core i7 with 16GB 2133MHz of RAM.
